lately instead of doomscrolling, I find myself opening my archives. going through galleries from the last two seasons, revisiting weddings of couples I adore…and feeling so much. so much good.
there’s something about photography that never stops surprising me. the way a single image can pull you straight back into a moment. the light, the feeling, the intimacy. not a memory of it. the actual thing.
thats the quiet power of this work. photography doesn’t just document. It holds TIME still. it gives people a place to return to, again and again. and sometimes in the middle of the chaos of a season, I forget that. i get lost in the logistics, the edits, the emails and in the beautiful but also exhausting reality of single mum life. then I open your galleries and it hits me all over again - what it actually means. what it’s for. that someone, someday, will open these files the same way I’m opening them now and feel everything, all over again.
if you’ve ever looked at a photo and felt your heart pounding, chest tighten or smiled before you even knew why - you already know what I mean.
today I found myself back in Chloe & Joe’s gallery and their intimate wedding at Insole Court in Cardiff. and I’m sharing a few frames that made me smile 🧡
