A wedding can be anything you want it to be - think of it as a date where you can invite the closest people to you. It can even be a date just for the two of you. What matters is having the time and space to soak every moment in. That’s why so many choose to have a smaller wedding.

"I love your photos, but we're awkward in front of the camera."

I hear this all the time.

The funny thing is that most of the editorial-style images you see in my portfolio aren't heavily posed at all.

They're usually created while we're walking through Marylebone after your ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall. You're chatting, laughing, taking a moment to yourselves, and I'm simply giving a little guidance when needed.

The goal isn't to make you look like models.

The goal is to create photographs that feel elevated while still feeling like *you*.

Natural and documentary doesn't have to mean completely unstructured.

Editorial doesn't have to mean stiff.

The two can work beautifully together.

One of my favourite moments of the day is the journey from The Landmark Hotel London to Old Marylebone Town Hall.

It's a strange little pause.

The planning is done.

The guests are waiting.

When I'm photographing a wedding morning at The Landmark Hotel London before heading to Old Marylebone Town Hall, I always make time for these moments. Not because they're "Pinterest-worthy" but because they often carry meaning that runs much deeper.

The same goes for the people around you.

Your dad pacing the room pretending not to be emotional. Your best friend making everyone laugh. Your mum quietly taking everything in.

These aren't staged moments. They're the threads that connect the day together.

When coverage starts just before the ceremony, these parts of the story often disappear forever.

A wedding album should feel like opening a time capsule, not simply a record of who stood where during the ceremony.

The little things become the big things with time.

When I photograph wedding mornings at The Landmark Hotel London, I always spend a little time with the details.

Not because they're pretty.

Because they're personal.

The perfume you chose.

The earrings you've been saving for the occasion.

The flowers you've dreamed about for months.

These little things become part of the memory of the day.

They're the pieces that help tell a story that's uniquely yours.

And that's why I love photographing them.

One of the reasons I rarely recommend ceremony-only coverage at Old Marylebone Town Hall is because so much of the story happens before anyone walks down the aisle.

The morning at The Landmark Hotel London.

Your mum fastening the last button on your dress.

The nervous excitement.

The deep breath before leaving for the Town Hall.

Years from now, those are often the photographs that surprise couples most. The ones they forgot happened.

The ceremony is important, of course.

But it's only one chapter.

The real story starts long before you say "I do".
