A Chelsea Wedding Day on 35mm Film

If you want some nostalgic vibes in your wedding gallery, I'd 100% recommend adding in some 35mm film photos.

While I shoot primarily on digital, adding some 35mm film photos to your wedding gallery is always lots of film.

Your wedding day is supposed to feel like you.

If that means sneaking off for chips in your hotel room after your last dance, grabbing your favourite pint of Guinness in the middle of your couple portraits or having some photos in front of your fave cafe or fast food chain, then do it!

There's no rules when it comes to your wedding day and some of the most fun, memorable moments happen when you stop thinking about what you “should” be doing and just fully enjoy your day together.

The unplanned little photos always end up adding so much personality to your wedding gallery and are usually the ones you end up getting framed afterwards.

And don't worry, I'll be there to capture all the emotions of your day. From private vows and cake cuttings or your beer pong wins!

Getting married at Chelsea Old Town Hall is an absolute vibe! ✨

While I might have a Canadian accent, after almost 10 years in this gorgeous city, I think I can say I'm a Londoner at heart and Chelsea is a great spot to get married if you want the ultimate London wedding experience. There are so many great spots nearby for your newlywed portraits and plenty of delicious restaurants and pubs for your wedding reception.

If you're getting married at Chelsea Old Town Hall, I'd always suggest a 30 minute wander around the area to soak in the feeling of being married (yay!) and to snap up your newlywed portraits!

From Marylebone to Maida Vale, M&J's wedding day was simply stunning!

Following their wedding ceremony at Marylebone Old Town Hall, the newlyweds made their way to Maida Vale via an iconic routemaster with friends and family. While their guests enjoyed the start of the drinks reception at The Elgin, we snuck off to the garden of one of the couple's friends, for some gorgeous greenery for their newlywed portraits. I think it's important to take a little time on the wedding day to just soak in that newly married feeling just the two of you.

M&J had some very kind words after I delivered their wedding day preview:

Stop scrolling if you are getting married in. 2027 and need INSPO from these wedding details I'm loving in 2026! ✨

1. Statement Handbags - Colourful, fashionable and reusable.

2. 35mm Film - I've been shooting on film since university and incorporting it into weddings has been so much fun! I just love the colours and nostalgia!

3.Group Photos with movement - So many of my couples say they aren't keen on stiff formal group photos. I love getting slightly more playful ones in addition to the classics.

4. Evening Games - While I love a dance floor, sometimes it's nice to give your guests another activity when they need to catch their breath. Beer pong or board games are a super fun (and competitive) activity for your guests.

5. Playful Details - There are photos in every wedding gallery where I let myself get a little playful. Often I am documenting the day as it is happening, but sometimes it's nice to set up certrain moments, or add a bit of movement to help capture the story of the detail.

It's impossible not to fall in love with Santorini...

To me, the wedding photos that are timeless are the ones where you've been captured truly in the moment, experiencing your wedding day to its fullest. When you look back at your wedding album in 20 years time, you'll be transported back to the day.

A&O said their 'I do's' at Chelsea Old Town Hall on a Friday and they made the most of the Bank holiday weekend by throwing their wedding reception in St Albans at The Hub on Verulam on a Sunday so that all their friends and family could make it. It felt like a huge family party with an awesome dancefloor, delicious BBQ and even some competitive beer pong. Spreading their wedding over 2 days allowed them to have London city vibes and a big party - basically all the best bits!

If you're debating getting married on a bank holiday, I'd 100% recommend it. You can celebrate with your friends and family for the whole weekend and it is perfect if you have guests travelling to be with you.
