This exhibition pairs Dutch sculptor Pieter Obels (b.1968) and French-Chinese painter Feng Xiao-Min (b.1959) in their first London exhibition together at Opera Gallery. Despite working in different media and cultural traditions, both artists share a contemplative approach that values process, material engagement and openness to unexpected outcomes.

Obels transforms industrial Corten steel into organic, plant-inspired sculptures, while Feng creates atmospheric abstract landscapes that invite personal interpretation. Together, their works offer a calm, reflective counterpoint to the pace of contemporary life, emphasising craftsmanship, presence and meditation.

Welcome back Anton. Where have you been?

Yes, we have featured ’s now famous ‘Blind Nationalism’ statue at London’s Waterloo Place in St James’s. Who this man is based upon we can’t be certain. The above shot has a different tone and energy to it.

Anton referred to the stark juxtaposition of Banksy’s creation against the statue of Athena, the Greek Goddess of wisdom, strategic warfare and crafts at The Athenaeum, a private members’ club.

One man/woman’s blind nationalism could be disastrous. Collective blind following is unforgivable.

The Liberty Menagerie
The whimsical animal carvings are inspired by medieval Bestiaries. They are deliberately woven into the Tudor revival architecture to make the massive retail space feel like a sprawling historic home.
While exploring the wooden galleries, balustrades, and balconies overlooking the central atriums, you can spot several distinct figures

If it wasn’t for the bottom left corner, we could think this is a photograph from anytime between 1956-2005 thanks to the old Routemaster bus.

This was probably a special hire bus or one of those serving afternoon tea on board. The slow shutter added special interest to the most iconic landmark in London: the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben is the largest and heaviest of its five bells).

Saturday promises to be the ☀️ and warmer this weekend. There is no better way to see London whilst cursing along The Thames on an Uber Boat by . The in provides a perfect backdrop as captured by Bryan on his private yacht.
