Hellooo! Nice to meet you, I’m Poly!
There are lots of new people around here (which is great! Always Welcome), and I thought it was time to reintroduce myself, especially because many things have changed – most notably, my hair. (lol)
I have a degree in Business Administration, but I never quite found myself in that field. However, it wasn’t in vain; the degree helps me structure my business to better serve you.
As a child, I was the photographer responsible for taking care of and organizing albums from the lab – those with 12, 24, 36 poses that we prayed hadn’t “burned.” It was always a surprise because we never remembered what was on those films, hehe.
But the day I found my path was a few months after my son was born. I was in the sauna at the gym, anxious about how I would manage to work and educate my son up close (can you relate to that challenge? It’s tough, isn’t it?), and I had an “insight.” That’s it – I’ll turn a hobby I love into a profession. It wasn’t easy, not overnight. I had a lot of support, especially from my sister (Thanks, sis!) who committed to taking care of my son while I went to the college, attended practical classes, and my first shoots.
The looks, the touch, the laughter – everything that meant in the lives of those people. That’s what moves me every day: immortalizing these stories.
Between that insight and today, there were numerous challenges, countless joys, thoughts of giving up that didn’t materialize. Simply because I love photographing families and showing them that nothing glamorous is necessary. It’s in simplicity, in essence, that our treasures lie. I am the guardian of these memories you hold. Through my eyes, perception, and lenses, I return memories that you will carry for a lifetime.
And from here, I continue with many purposes and much to share! Thanks to all who are loyal here, and to the newcomers: feel at home!
Tell me in the comments: do you know me from where, and since when? 📷🤍
