Bologna can change completely with just a few steps.

What caught my attention here was not only the curved architecture, but the way it kept transforming as I moved around it.

Glass, trees, colour and reflections shifted with every change of position. The building remained the same, but the image never did.

Perhaps that is what interests me most: how a place can become something else simply because the point of view changes.

What changes when you look at the same place from a different point of view?

Bologna is often explored through its porticoes, towers, and historic buildings.

But what caught my attention here was not what stood in front of me, but what appeared through the glass.

Trees, curtains, architecture, and reflections merged into a single surface, making it difficult to tell where the park ended and the building began.

Sometimes a city reveals itself not through landmarks, but through layers. Through the spaces where inside and outside meet.

Bologna is often seen through its famous landmarks.

But some of my favourite moments happened before I reached any of them.

Looking through glass, I noticed how trees, buildings and the street quietly overlapped, creating a view that only existed from that exact spot.

Sometimes, the places we remember most are the ones we almost walked past.

Bologna is often explored on foot, but sometimes a city reveals itself while you’re standing still.

As I waited for the bus, my attention wasn’t drawn to the vehicle itself. It was the changing relationship between the bus, the buildings, and the street that caught my eye. With every passing moment, the scene quietly transformed, revealing a little more of the city.

Bologna is often known for its porticoes, its university, and its incredible food.

But this was my first impression of the city.

Before I noticed any famous landmark, I noticed a reflection. Two people passing by, framed by a simple doorway, reminding me that every new place reveals itself little by little.

This is how my journey through Bologna begins.

Roissy-en-France, France.

Some places ask to be admired.

Others ask to be experienced.

From the outside, this church seems quiet and unassuming. Inside, light takes over. Passing through the stained glass, it doesn't simply illuminate the space; it reshapes it, changing the atmosphere from one moment to the next.

Perhaps that's why light has fascinated artists for centuries. It never stays the same, and neither do we when we stop long enough to notice it.

Le Mesnil-Amelot, France.

By now, I had stopped looking only at what stood before me.

I found myself looking through things instead.

The monument in the square appeared once again, not directly, but reflected in a single window.

It was the same sculpture, the same place, yet the glass quietly rearranged it into something unexpected.

Perhaps that is what windows do.

They do not simply allow us to see beyond them.

They remind us that every place holds more than one view, waiting for someone willing to look through, rather than only at.
