*WE NEED YOU*

Hey Peeps!

Some of you will know, throughout lockdown, myself and numerous others came together and volunteered with Under One Sky to help feed the homeless, who were left completely destitute in Central London with zero facilities and no food or water.

With increasing current restrictions and Winter approaching I am pleased to say we are starting up again and we need your help! If you or anybody you know have contacts with any organisations or people who would be willing to partner up with us or help with sponsorship for food/drink, warm clothes i.e. hats, gloves, scarfs please get in touch 🙏

I will be heading the first run for Kings Cross/Tottenham Court Rd this Wednesday and for now we aim to do once weekly events. Moving forward though, with enough support and volunteers my hope is we can increase the frequency so please share and spread the word!!!

I have one last and slightly random request...if anyone could source me a shopping trolley (like a supermarket one) preferably somewhere near Central London to help transport our supplies on our walks you'd make me a very happy lady ☺️🧐

♟️👑 MAKE YOUR MOVE 👑♟️

It's been a funny old year and lockdown saw myself and many of my fellow creatives suffer professionally and emotionally throughout lockdown. I'm pleased to say things are looking up and the cogs are slowly moving. I'm lucky and grateful to have been working on a few new projects last few months 😍

There's something really therapeutic when putting pencil to paper and getting creative ☺️ Really enjoying working on my new, exciting project!!

Feeling a little out of my comfort zone as have been working digitally for so long but old school drawing is where it's at 🤩🙌🏽

Sharing this in support of one of my fantastic volunteering team mates at Under One Sky. He, along with 42,000 of his colleagues are facing imminent redundancy by the country’s flag carrier; BRITISH AIRWAYS.

30,000 ‘lucky’ ones will be reemployed on new contracts at an average of 50% cut in salary - on a permanent basis.This is done in the background of £8 billion in cash reserves, £3.6 billion in recent pay outs to shareholders and £1.9 billion in profit for the financial year ending March 2020.

If BA get away with this, it will be a dangerous precedent for the whole of ‘UK plc’

This seems to be a running theme with big corporations! The fat cats at the top really don't care about anyone but themselves yet rely on us common folk to keep lining their pockets. Shameful behaviour!!!

Under One Sky continues tirelessly to offer support to our homeless friends 🙏🏽 It has been the most humbling experience and heading out to Central London each week has become part of my schedule 💙🙌🏽☺️

Please read and share. A poignant insight to what is happening on our streets during this lockdown.

There is a huge influx of newly homeless who have no experience in surviving on the streets, not to mention during a pandemic lockdown.

I've personally met people whilst volunteering that are new to the streets and their families have no idea they are sleeping rough due to embarrassment. It truly is a heartbreaking situation and NOW more than ever charities such as Under One Sky are a lifeline to those abandoned on our streets, without food, water or any washing facilities 😔
