This is the one who changed everything! We met, and in no time, I'd rented out my place, sold my stuff, and booked a one-way ticket to India.

Crossing the Goteik Viaduct, a vast iron bridge suspended above the valley, the highest in Myanmar. The crossing is scary enough knowing that the bridge is a century old and the we saw this, a young man probably no older than I was at the time, stood guard with a rifle slung over his shoulder.

It was a reminder that travel isn’t always light or easy. Myanmar was on the edge of unrest, and moments like this carried a quiet intensity, a blend of beauty, uncertainty, and resilience.
