Newborn photographer London. Although I’ve never really thought of these sessions as being just about the newborn.

There’s the baby, obviously. But there’s also you learning them. The way they fit into your hands. The insane feeling of suddenly being someone’s mum or dad.

The feeding, settling, stopping, starting and wondering whether we’re actually going to get any photographs at all. We always do.

I don’t need your baby to sleep. I don’t need your home to look a certain way. And I definitely don’t need any of you to be good at having your photograph taken.

I just need you as you are. I’ll take care of the rest.

I photograph newborn babies and their families at home across London. Natural, intimate photographs that hopefully feel like you.

Newborn photography London, but without the performance.

You may be sleep deprived, feeling a bit lacklustre, still finding your feet. Or you may feel amazing. Either way, I’m listening.

Yes, there’ll be a little direction. I’m not going to pretend you’ll never be aware of the camera. But I’m not interested in making you perform.

I want it to feel as natural as possible. Feeding when your baby needs to feed. Stopping when they need settling. Holding them the way you actually hold them. Laughing when something goes wrong.

The photographs still need to be beautiful, of course. But they should feel like you, not like you were playing a part for an hour.

Baby photography London, and five months might be one of my favourite stages to photograph.

The eyes. The curls. The rolls. The constant watching.

Still so completely baby, but suddenly full of expression and personality.

This little one had that lovely five-month-old softness about her. Feeding when she needed to, grabbing everything, looking at everything, completely at ease in her mum’s arms.

It’s such a fleeting stage.

The way they fit against you. The way their body still folds into yours. The tiny details you think you’ll remember because they feel so obvious now.

You probably won’t.

And that’s usually the point.

In home newborn session in London Fields, London. East London, my old stomping ground. Always feels like home. When you go into a home and it feels so warm and inviting, you can almost feel like you’re at home.
That’s what these three humans gave me that day.
