Ant and Catherine were determined to have their own kind of wedding. Putting their creative minds to work (Ant is a top-notch director and Catherine writes brilliant spoken-word scripts), they set about creating a super theatrical wedding, using the grounds of Childerley Hall as their stage.

This was one of those days where every time I turned around, something else was happening - whether it was the scavenger hunt for the rings, the paper aeroplane/limbo/limerick competition (aka the “Organised Fun section”), the handfasting, the drone show, or all the little details they’d spent ages putting together.

There isn’t anywhere quite like Wilton's Music Hall. I was back there in the spring for Nic and Rupert’s gloriously theatrical wedding, which started under the stage lights and ended with one of the most uninhibited piano singalongs I’ve witnessed in 16 years of photographing weddings. Seeing as Nic works in theatre, it all felt very apt!

A shout out to the wonderful caterers, Cater London, and to Rex Woolf, who somehow managed to conduct an entire room of very enthusiastic singers brilliantly.

Alice and Quentin’s wedding day in Rocky Face, Georgia took me to the south of the US for the first time, and was one of those celebrations that seemed to gather momentum all the way through. From an emotional first look and a ceremony beside the trees, to confetti, fireworks and a packed dancefloor later on, it felt big in scale but never lost its warmth.

Alice and Quentin were at the centre of that from the beginning, bringing the energy and setting the tone for the whole day. A very special one to have been part of.

Got a lovely surprise this morning when I found that I’d won 8 awards in the latest round of Masters of Wedding Photography, and in doing so, became the Photographer of the Quarter!

Seven of them came from last year, which I’m thrilled about, and one from Lucy and Jamie’s epic wedding at Villa San Vincenzo in Puglia in 2023.

A great way to start the Easter weekend 🙏
