Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain’s Catalonia region, is known for its art and architecture. The fantastical Sagrada Família church took my breath away the moment I stepped in and there are many other modernist landmarks also designed by Antoni Gaudí. Museu Picasso and Fundació Joan Miró feature modern art by their namesakes.

If there is one city in the world where East truly meets West, it has to be Istanbul. It is also possibly one of the world’s most photogenic metropolis. Istanbul is the jewel in the crown and the largest of Turkey’s cities that straddles Europe and Asia across the Bosporus. Its Old City reflects cultural influences of the many empires that once ruled here. In the Sultan Ahmet district, the open-air, Roman-era Hippodrome was for centuries the site of chariot races, and Egyptian obelisks also remain.

Every face tell a story. For me there is an endless fascination to get up close and personal with my subject. Nothing is more expressive than the eyes and I find, no 2 pair are the same as each carries a different tale.
