The grand corners of Buchanan Street.

Standing proud at the pedestrianised crossroads of Buchanan Street and St Vincent Street, this ornate Victorian sandstone block with its crowning domed cupola is Glasgow street architecture at its very best.
Pushing the contrast into deep monochrome on my Pixel 10 makes the cobblestone paving and intricate masonry carve dramatically into that swirling Scottish sky.

A bronze guardian standing tall in the heart of the city.

Standing outside Glasgow Central Station on Gordon Street, the Citizen Firefighter statue by sculptor Kenny Hunter is a powerful tribute to the courage and dedication of Strathclyde firefighters past and present. Framed against the grand Victorian facade of the Grand Central Hotel and a stormy Scottish sky, this dramatic low-angle perspective brings out the weathered bronze texture, wet street reflections, and monumental presence of the memorial on my Pixel 10.

Holding court outside Princes Square.

This is Shona Kinloch’s iconic bronze sculpture, Thinking of Bella, standing stoic in the courtyard off Buchanan Street. With Everyman cinema and modern Glasgow bustling behind him, the textured bronze and dramatic low-angle perspective give this familiar local figure a monumental, almost surreal presence.
High-contrast monochrome on the Pixel 10 really brings out the weathered patina against that classic, heavy Scottish sky.

Dominating the corner of Hope Street and Gordon Street, the iconic Grand Central Hotel stands as one of Glasgow’s most magnificent Victorian landmarks. Built in the late 19th century by Robert Rowand Anderson, it has hosted everyone from Winston Churchill and Charlie Chaplin to Frank Sinatra.

Pushing the contrast into deep monochrome on my Pixel 10 makes that imposing clock tower and intricate sandstone facade look positively gothic beneath the brewing Scottish storm. 🖤✨

Possibly the most dramatic coffee shop exterior in the UK. ☕🏛️

Sitting right on St Enoch Square, this stunning Baronial gem—affectionately known to locals as "The Tartan Underground" or the St Enoch subway ticket office—was designed by James Miller and opened in the 1890s. With its ornate corner turrets, crow-stepped gable, and clock face, it brings grand Victorian character straight into the modern city centre.

If you know Glasgow, you know this exact staircase. Wandering between floors at Waterstones is dangerously easy—you walk in for a quick browse and leave three hours later with a stack of new reads. Stripping away the colour turns this bustling bookshop staircase into pure architectural rhythm and light.

Glasgow's very own Flatiron moment. 🏛️📐

Standing at the junction of Renfield Street and West Regent Street, the red sandstone corner of the Pearl Assurance Building (now the Maldron Hotel) cuts through the city like the prow of a grand Victorian ship.
The French Renaissance detailing, corner turret, and intricate stone carvings showcase why Glasgow is regarded as one of the finest Victorian cities in Europe.
Shooting this on my Pixel 10 in high-contrast monochrome really brings out the dramatic depth of the stonework against that sweeping Scottish sky. 🖤✨

Standing watch at the top of Buchanan Street. 🏛️☁️

Donald Dewar—Scotland’s first First Minister—immortalised right in front of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall steps. The contrast in monochrome brings out the bronze texture and the sweeping lines of the plaza against that dramatic cloud cover.
There is always a brilliant energy around these steps, whether it's bustling shoppers or friends catching up on the stairs.

There is something so special about discovering tradition tucked away in the modern world. This view of the Luss Distillery, under that powerful, shifting sky, reminds me why I fell in love with Scotland.

It's about time, place, and a passion for crafting something truly unique. The architecture and that incredibly atmospheric black and white edit just tell such a compelling story of resilience and craftsmanship. A stunning spot to experience.
