“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” Laozi
My journey into photography began before I even owned my own camera. It began with my fascination with people, wildlife, and their interactions in the surrounding world. With this in my one pocket and now my camera in the other, I am able go out and capture the beauty of the world, striving to create pictures which not only portray e
motion, but also a deeper understanding of the world we live in. What I am looking to achieve with my photography is to create images which the viewers find compelling enough to look at again and again, with a bit of fun thrown in to remember that life isn’t always about the seriousness. Coming from South Africa, but now living in London, United Kingdom, with the love of travel thrown in, I have the ability to adapt to different environments. Immersing myself in the local environment and communities, means that I can create not only images I find unique, but work with those around me to help make them sing even louder the messages that we are all wanting to hear. I have worked hard over the past few years in order to learn more about the art of photography and establish myself into this diverse and competitive world. With the knowledge learnt from numerous courses at the London School of Photography, and, of course being part of the internet generation, YouTube, I have managed to refine my skills and adapt a unique style. I have been recognised on numerous internet platforms such as ViewBug, but the one of which I am most proud, is being shortlisted in the National Geographic Traveler 2014 Competition for my picture “The Feast”. I am constantly looking for new commissions, assignments and challenges both in the UK and abroad. If you are looking to portray a message, or just simply seeking to dream up beautiful images, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
