Thank you for inviting me to teach on the masters of portrait photography workshop in Amsterdam earlier in November. I had never led a workshop or shared insights into my process before and it was a fascinating challenge figuring out how to explain my way of working which is often quite instinctive, fast and abstract… needless to say I had a brilliant time teaching, and the process of dissecting your own thoughts, intentions and ideas is a great thing to do as an artist. Thank you to the lovely group of photographers who came to play with such energy and enthusiasm (and willingness to contort themselves into weird positions for the perfect shot).. and our excellent models Calypso & Tina. What an adventure!
