Another from my early morning wander in central London yesterday. This is taken in a side street looking towards Trafalgar Square, with Nelson rising above the London buses and the flags of The Canadian Embassy visible to the bottom left. It’s always fascinating to me that you can walk just a few yards from where all the hustle and bustle is and find a calm spot and a completely different view on life. I once went into one of the flats in the building to the right. A private flat with views over Trafalgar Square. That really is something special to wake up to each morning.

Good morning you beautiful people. Right now I’m having breakfast at my favourite place in London, editing yesterday’s photoshoot and drinking black coffee. Later today though, I shall be travelling to my little sailing boat in England for more adventures. Anyway, I took this photo some time ago as I wandered along the shore at Gosport near Portsmouth. A proud Naval area, although sadly, the Navy is somewhat smaller today than it was when I was born in Portsmouth.

Do you have any idea how long it takes to train swans to be perfectly synchronised? A long time. That’s how long. Tuesday evening outside a pub by The Thames in Chiswick, London. Most pleasant.

I shall call this ‘clouds illuminated by lightning with lamppost’. You have to look for the lamppost. The clouds you can probably see. iPhone photo taken a few nights ago in Birmingham.

Woman in sunlight. Almost always, I’ll produce photos that I know the client will like or that people on here will like. That’s great, but it does mean that I’m not adventurous enough and produce photos that I like, but that might be disliked by others. This is one of those photos. I really like it, but it’s different. So let’s see.

Saturday morning and I’m going through the photoshoot from Thursday’s photoshoot in Birmingham. As you go through the shots to get down to the ones you want to keep (took 1,900 shots and down to 476) there are always ones that stand out. This is one. A difficult lighting situation with the bright sunlight outside and the subject facing away from the light. I think it’s worked though.

Another photo I took yesterday on my Fujifilm xpro 3 and have just downloaded. I absolutely loved the light pouring into this pub. It had the most magical colour to it. Also, that gorgeous wood panelling and the green of the sofas. Incredibly, I’d never been to this one before.
