We chose blue for this whole session, soft enough that it never fights with his skin tone, and the sort of colour that won't look dated whether he's looking back at this at two years old or twenty. Same blue running through all three, same calm settled baby, just a change of prop and pose each time. This one, snuggled into his own dragon comforter, is usually the shot parents tell me they didn't expect to love quite this much.

A little peek behind the curtain. This is what a real bath time session looks like once the suds are flying, half posed, half pure chaos, and somehow it always turns into some of my favourite images. Nobody tells you how much of this job is chasing bubbles.
