I tried using ChatGPT like a remote control while editing in Final Cut Pro… and apparently we’re now at the stage where I can just sit there, talk to AI, and expect my computer to do things. 😂🤖

No keyboard shortcuts. No frantic clicking. Just me casually talking to ChatGPT like:

“Go there.”
“Play that.”
“Show me the timeline.”
“Okay… now do the editing bit.” 😂

It’s still early, but this kind of AI-powered video editing workflow could get seriously interesting. Imagine ChatGPT understanding your Final Cut timeline, finding clips, making selects, organising footage and eventually helping edit an entire video just through conversation.

The scary part?

I actually quite liked it. 👀

ChatGPT + Final Cut Pro + AI editing = where is this going next?

What would YOU make ChatGPT do if it could completely control your editing software? 😂👇

POV: the bride & groom think their photographer is capturing candid moments… 📸

Meanwhile the photographer: quality controlling the wedding food. 👀🍰😂

Look, I can’t photograph the wedding breakfast without understanding the product first. It’s called research.

Bride & groom: “Where’s our photographer?”
Me at the dessert table for the 4th time: “Checking the lighting.” 😭

Wedding photographers — you KNOW the rule: when there’s a 3-minute gap in the timeline, EAT LIKE THE FIRST DANCE STARTS IN 30 SECONDS. 😂

Different universes

One portrait is stripped back — quiet light, clean tones, nothing competing for attention.

The other throws every rule out the window. Neon colour, UV paint, glowing textures and complete visual chaos.

I love both for completely different reasons. One relies almost entirely on expression and light, while the other becomes something closer to a character or piece of artwork.

And that’s probably what I enjoy most about portrait photography — there doesn’t have to be one “correct” way to photograph someone.

Which side are you choosing — minimal or maximum? 👀

Beauty gets your attention.
Then you realise something is watching you. 👁️🌺

Two sides of the same frame — one full of life, colour and softness, the other dark, artificial and slightly uncomfortable.

I love photographs that don’t immediately explain themselves.

What did you notice first — the flowers or the eye?

Two frames. Two completely different energies.

Control vs chaos.
Sharp lines vs movement.
Reality vs something that feels almost like a memory.

I’m finding myself less interested in making photographs that are simply “perfect” — and more interested in creating something that makes you stop for a second and feel something.

Which one pulls you in more — LEFT or RIGHT? 👀

In my head: legendary warrior fighting for humanity.

In reality: a 36-year-old man aggressively punching absolutely nothing in his living room.

AI is getting too powerful 😂

Forgotten unique camera! Sigma DP. Foveon sensor might be same as medium format?

MY BACK has officially had enough.

I currently shoot on multiple cameras, and a giant gimbal.

Now I want to see if the XTRA MUSE 2 PRO can replace some of that gear.

I would love to create a real-world challenge around it and see how far I can push such a compact camera!

Challenge accepted?

Brand New Canon R6V and Canon 20-50mm RF power Zoom is officially open for pre-orders.

This new mirrorless camera introduces massive design upgrades built specifically for vertical video production, professional content creators, and filmmakers.

Key Canon R6V specifications and features:

1) Native side tripod thread: Canon built a dedicated vertical tripod mount directly into the side of the camera chassis. You can mount the camera in portrait orientation instantly without needing heavy L-brackets or cage accessories.

2) Built-in active cooling: The camera body features integrated cooling vents and grills to prevent thermal overheating during long video shoots.

3) Professional video recording formats: Supports up to 7K RAW Open Gate and 4K 120fps in Full Frame mode for high-resolution slow-motion video.

4) Compact lens setup: Paired with the new Canon 20-40mm power zoom lens, making it an incredibly versatile setup for wide-angle vlogging and handheld b-roll.

Pre-orders are officially live. Are you upgrading to the Canon R6V or keeping your current setup? Let me know in the comments.

This lens literally uncovers a hidden universe. 🌿👇

Is the Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro Art the ultimate macro lens for mirrorless photography? Today I brought it paired with the incredibly compact Panasonic Lumix S9 to Kew Gardens (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) to find out.

Most people think macro photography requires a complex studio setup, but going handheld in a botanical garden completely changes the game.

My go-to setup for capturing razor-sharp details hand-held without a tripod:
1️⃣ Focus Peaking ON (Set to High / Red)
2️⃣ Shutter Speed at least 1/500 to eliminate hand-shake when close-up
3️⃣ Continuous shooting mode (Burst) — slightly rock your body back and forth to capture the exact slice of focus depth as you move

If you want to see the full behind-the-scenes shoot, the incredible close-up insect images we got. search “Mike Glide Photography” on YouTube or click the link in my bio! 🎥

What’s your favorite lens for close-up photography? Drop it in the comments!
