CURIOUS CHICKEN “Popcorn Machine”

The project started with a refurbished gumball machine I found on eBay, and a childhood memory of turning the chunky mechanism to see what would appear in the chute.

It got me thinking about unlikely combinations – things that shouldn’t really go together, but somehow do. Popcorn chicken felt like a good place to start.

The Topography of Pizza

Blistered sourdough rises like ridge lines. Molten cheese pools into valleys. Tomato sauce pushes through with heat and movement. Toppings create height, contrast, rhythm.

Every base in this series began the same: sourdough from . Rich tomato. Proper molten cheese. From there, we built the terrain.

Here, an American classic. Pepperoni curls and crisps. Jalapeños cut through with heat. Fresh basil settles on top. Then the cheese pull – elastic, glossy, dramatic.

Up close, pizza becomes terrain – peaks, valleys, sheen and shadow.

Indian: Curried cauliflower rises, golden and textured. Pomegranate pops. Mint yoghurt cools.

Australian: Prawns sit proud. Pineapple caramelises. BBQ sauce sweeps through – bold and smoky.

Here, a Japanese-inspired creation. Miso mushrooms sink deep. A fried egg. Sesame flickers. Chilli oil shines. Sriracha decorates.
