The ‘New Arab’ has published an article about ‘Eye on Heritage’, our work in Syria and the films produced by our teams in Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa. The cover image shows the carved relief artwork in our 'Heritage House' in Urfa depicting heritage that has been damaged or destroyed in recent conflicts.

For thousands of years, the Euphrates River has borne some of humanity's greatest civilisations. A new video project is hoping to capture the significance of the river and its peoples by recording its oral traditions and heritage for posterity.

I'm giving a talk at Dulwich College on 20th June with my colleague Tom Bilson from the Courtauld Institute of Art. I'll be talking about Anthony Kersting's historical photography of Iraqi Kurdistan and Northern Iraq from 1944-46, and showing my contemporary photographs of the same subjects and locations in 2013-17. The photograph on the flyer shows the Mosque of Nebi Yunus in Nineveh, Mosul, which was destroyed by ISIS in 2014.
