The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping official trailer is finally here!

Visualskies broke cyber scanning records by capturing 456 full body scans in just one day - part of a massive 1673 full body scan total for the project, as well as many props and huge environments.

Thanks to our high-speed 10Gbps full body scanning rig with tree network architecture, we kept the momentum moving, getting cast members in and out of the booth in less than a minute. Hours of back-to-back scanning pushed our tech to the limit, and we couldn’t be more excited to see a sneak peak of the final result!

This year, Visualskies officially turns 10 years old. Over the past decade, we’ve traveled the globe, completed hundreds of projects, and lived through more adventures than we ever could have imagined. From the heights of Machu Picchu and the remote Indonesian jungle to the deep grit-filled sewers of London, no two days in the field have ever been the same.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone we have met along the way. We are incredibly grateful to the fixers who kept us safe from poisonous snakes and scorpions, and to the many talented Film and TV crews across the world who make long shoot days so much more enjoyable. Most importantly, a special shoutout to all the Visualskies employees and freelance staff, past and present, who have endured the late nights, long-haul flights, tight deadlines, and mountains of data and equipment required to ensure every project resulted in a perfect scan.

Seeing how rapidly scanning technology and workflows have evolved over the years makes us incredibly excited for the future and the next chapter of our journey. We can’t wait to see where the next adventure takes us... here’s to the next 10 years!

We’re used to big asks at Visualskies, but our work on Project Hail Mary took things to a higher orbit. The scanning was out of this world, and managing data on such an astronomical scale required more than just a little ‘science the heck out of it’ energy.

But we’re always up for a challenge, and the team at Visualskies went into overdrive scanning every single piece of lab equipment, every nook and cranny of the Project Hail Mary ship, and every tool used by Ryland Grace and Rocky to try to save humanity (you’re welcome).

A huge thank you to the incredibly talented VFX crew and all at Framestore and ILM. Seeing our scans transformed into Framestore’s seamless character work on Rocky and ILM’s breathtaking space exteriors is nothing short of “amaze, amaze, amaze!”.

This Valentines Day we are celebrating both the conventional and unconventional love stories in the Visualskies Film and TV portfolio. From the love formed from a passion for music in Bob Marley: One Love, to the vampiric bond of two souls in Sinners, and even perhaps too many of the ‘keeping it in the family’ kind... Love comes in many forms, but all make great on-screen entertainment!

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us at the studio for The Splatting Shift: Innovation in 3D Processing

We loved welcoming the VFX, virtual production, and capture community into our Battersea space to dig into Gaussian splatting from capture through to post. One of the highlights was seeing so many people step into our full body cyber rig and walk away with a rendered video of their scan straight to their inbox.

The conversations, questions, and shared curiosity in the room made it a genuinely energising evening. Thanks to our collaborators, speakers, and everyone who came along to help turn this into a proper industry conversation.

This gripping heist thriller is packed with suspense, twists, and stunning visuals - and we’re excited to have played a part in bringing its world to life. Using high-fidelity LiDAR and photogrammetry, Visualskies provided detailed environment scans, helping the VFX teams craft immersive, hyper-realistic scenes.
