We photographed the most beautiful and natural wedding near Bordeaux for Olympic fencer Cody & his fellow-fencing wife Tasha, organised beautifully by Nicole as always at Pure Expression Events - Wedding Planner.
The guests were led by an accordion player through the forest to an open field where their friend led an intimate and heartfelt service.
After the service Tasha slipped out of her heels into her Jordans, (did we mention Tasha works for Nike!) We knew from that moment on that we were going to have fun... as we hiked over the brambles!
It was such a warm and unpretentious day, filled with love and affection.

Mischke and I are working on www.thepassionatelens.com website.
We have been asking some of our couples to write about their experience of being filmed and photographed by us. Lovely Toby and Valeria wrote this for us.

"We are so delighted that we booked Matthew and Mischke for our wedding last July in France at Chateau Malliac. Each of them is an artist in their own right and they both brought out the amazing emotions and incredible visuals in both their mediums of video and photography. They put all our guests and ourselves at ease and blended in seamlessly on the day. Both the photos and the videos made us cry, laugh and smile - and we couldn't be happier that we had photo and video captured as it brings the day back to life perfectly, almost like we were there again. What's amazing about Matthew and Mischke is that they are uncle and niece so they gel together perfectly on the day and don't get in the way of each other. We barely noticed they were there but they were always present capturing amazing moments. We couldn't recommend them enough - you won't find anyone better I can guarantee you. They are talented artists, their work is beautiful and they're both so lovely that I'm happy to say we count them as true friends now!"

I photographed Mickael and Ludivines sweet wedding - pics to follow but in the following days Mischke filmed and I photographed a lovely post wedding romantic session with a trash the dress session in the pool.. I just love this kind of thing!
