‘s beautiful exhibition ‘& When the Seeds Fell’ is in full swing at @1014.gallery up till August.

Thank you for approaching us to do the c41 prints for this exhibition it has been a pleasure, also hand retouched by Kev in slide 2.

In vivek’s words: ‘& When the Seeds Fell’ is a deeply personal project exploring identity, masculinity and cultural inheritance through portraits of my own family. Made between the UK and India, the work reflects on the tension between tradition and selfhood within the British Gujarati diaspora. Using photography and installation, I invite you into an intimate space shaped by memory, duty and becoming.

We are so pleased to announce this year’s winner of the and Artful Dodgers mentorship grant is

As a team it’s been wonderful to see Nick’s project ‘White Apple Red Village’ progress throughout the many months of work. The pastel colours, natural scenes and portraits captured paint a beautiful picture of Quba in a poetic and from a documentarian angle. His accompanying book also delves further into his time there, expanding the richness of the work.

In Nick’s own words: ‘White Apple Red Village is a lyrical documentary about the inhabitants of Quba, Azerbaijan and the uniquely harmonious relationship between the region’s Muslim and Jewish populations. It offers a rare glimpse into the world’s last remaining Shtetl (Jewish village) in the diaspora, and perhaps the last place on earth Jews and Muslims live alongside each other without acrimony’.

We are looking forward to seeing where Nick will take this opportunity and for the future of his projects!

The brilliant has an exhibition on in LA running until the 24th May.

These photographs are intimate snapshots captured on set and developed by Yorgos himself. Printing hand C-Types for this exhibition has been a wonderful experience and all of us at Artful are so happy to see the end result alongside ‘s stunning Black and White prints.
