We were invited by Woli Arole and his beautiful family to capture the beauty of another life being carried.
But then came this moment.
A husband placed his hand upon the womb of his wife.
And for a moment, it stopped feeling like a photoshoot.
We were witnessing priesthood.
We know Woli Arole as a man whose voice has reached many.
But in this frame, it wasn’t the voice speaking to crowds that moved us.
It was the voice speaking over his own house.
A prophet can speak to nations,
but there is something deeply powerful about a prophet speaking over his own seed.
A father praying over a life he had not yet held.
A husband covering the woman carrying their promise.
A son standing close enough to witness what spiritual fatherhood looks like.
And suddenly, one truth became incredibly loud:
Before our children inherit what is in our hands, may they inherit what is in our spirit.
Before they inherit our names,
may they inherit our prayers.
Before they inherit our possessions,
may they inherit our altars.
Before the world speaks over them,
may a father’s voice have already spoken destiny.
There are prayers children hear after they are born.
And there are prayers that meet them in the womb.
Before the first cry, prayer.
Before the first step, prayer.
Before the first battle, prayer.
Before destiny begins to unfold, prayer.

Soarstudios we thought we were creating a maternity portrait.
But this frame reminded us why photography can be sacred.
Sometimes the camera doesn’t merely capture what people look like.
Sometimes it witnesses what God is doing.

A father covering destiny.
A son witnessing legacy.
A family standing around a promise.
And perhaps, years from now, this child will look at this photograph and realise:
“Before my father ever carried me in his arms, he carried me in prayer.”
That is more than a photograph.
That is legacy.
