We’re delighted to announce that our upcoming BBC series ‘MaeBee’ has been included in the official selection for the BFI London Film Festival 2026!! 

‘MaeBee : The Camping Trap’ will screen as part of the amazing ‘Animated Shorts for Young Audiences’ line up at BFI Southbank on 17th October at 10am. 

Launching on CBeebies and RTÉ this Autumn, the series was created by Tim and Rebecca O’Sullivan and this episode is helmed by Series Director Tim O’Sullivan and Episode Director Craig Knowles. Produced by Karrot Karrot Animation 🥕 in the UK and Kavaleer Kavaleer Productions in Ireland with the support of Screen Ireland Coimisiún na Meán Government of Ireland and the UK Global Screen Fund!

Tickets go on sale to BFI Members on 10th Sept and are on general sale from 17th Sept.

'My Friend Maisy' wins its first award! The episode ’Stripey Day’ won a prestigeous Pulcinella Award for a Preschool TV Show at Cartoons on the Bay 2026 in Italy! The jury said that the episode is “A fresh take on a children’s classic, bringing a joyful narrative rhythm and vibrant visual direction to a new generation.” Congratulations to all the team that came together to make the show, directed at Karrot by Beth B. Hughes, made alongside A Productions for BBC Studios, Trustbridge & Sky. Go team!

Daddy Pig will be running in the London Marathon for the National Deaf Children’s Society this weekend! The whole storyline has been a joyous collaboration between so many people and we’re hoping that Daddy Pig raises so much money for charity! We made a 3 episode Marathon special that kicked everything off, which you can watch right now on Channel 5 online (Season 9, episodes 24-26). James Butler’s layout department and Rob Cureton’s animation team absolutely smashed these episodes with a mountain of characters to track and animate!! They are some of our funniest episodes of Karrot’s run, written by Tim O’Sullivan and directed by Andrea Tran, so we hope you can discover them this weekend whilst cheering Daddy Pig on!
