Our journey along the northern coast of Spain was met with clouds and rain, but that never stopped us from creating.

With the help of an ND filter, I softened the crashing waves into a gentle flow and caught a brief tint of light breaking through the grey — lasting only moments before the approaching rainstorm forced us to leave.

One of the defining moments just after totality.

As the Moon begins to move away, the first burst of sunlight escapes from behind its edge, creating the brilliant diamond ring effect.

It lasts only for seconds, but it marks the transition from totality back into the partial phase.

"Total Eclipse of Sunset", Spain, 2026

Just when we thought the Total Solar Eclipse was over — and that nothing could quite match those 1 minute and 24 seconds of totality — the sky gave us one more surprise.

As the partially eclipsed Sun sank towards the ridgeline, rays of light broke through the clouds, while layers of strong summer colour painted the horizon.

A completely different scene from totality, but no less memorable.

“Ring of Fire”, Spain, 2026

For that very moment, it may feel like it’s just you, your camera, and the eclipse.

But behind that moment was the effort of our entire team.
We weren’t there just to make our own photographs. We were there to help everyone in our workshop get their shot too — from sharing knowledge and preparation, to 3D-printing solar-filter holders, on-site support, and looking after everyone’s well-being under the soaring heat.

Years of planning came down to those few extraordinary moments in the shadow of the Moon.

And yes — this is our group photo.

We did it

Two years of planning. Lost luggage, wildfire warnings, roadblocks… and, right at the end, we were forced to abandon the location we had planned and scouted for so long.

Somehow, amid all the uncertainty, we found another stunning location for totality.

And then the sky gave us this.
