Burstforth

Burstforth Why a personal BIO and how to support this missionary. I went to Kenya and ever since my life has changed. On the plus side, I learned a valuable lesson.

I am a missionary and a servant in the Kingdom of God and currently I am in South Africa learning as much as I can, especially about obedience and servanthood before God sends me out again to the nations. In the meantime I am studying apologetics, I help out at different organisations and I love people where ever I go. I returned from a 6 month DTS in Germany where we learned various lessons about

God and missions and then we were sent to an outreach country for three months to go and serve. I went as a photography missionary and I hope to one day go back there, hopefully soon. I am raising support since I am in full-time ministry and I don't find by just asking for finances I am doing enough, I want to make sure my creative side also produces the breakthroughs God has secured for me. AND this is also why I am asking other creative minds to partner with me in this next adventure, the printing of the tshirts. I hope you are able to connect with God's heart here and see that I am striving to further His kingdom, and if you find nothing else but that I try to love well and bring truth of worth and acceptance to the world then I am grateful. Here is the beginning of BURST FORTH:

This might never have been realized if God had not intervened! What ever is born out of God is incorruptible seed and He will bring it to fulfillment, even if that means taking the long way around. I did start to get in the way, but God had mercy. The seed for BURSTFORTH was planted back in 2010 already and since then I've tried to make it work in my own way, not realizing what it really is. Honestly, I dona't have all the details yet, but I've started to trust God with it more and more. I studied what the words Burst and Forth means, and Burst is either a break open, or an appearance but it almost always has to do with 'suddenly'. The forth just talks about it moving in a direction, forward, into the future! BURST "to be extremely full, as if ready to break open" "to appear suddenly; become visible, audible, evident, etc., all at once" "to cause to break or break open suddenly and violently"

Scripture wise, there are a few places that talks about 'burst forth' and normally only in the New King James versions, but it comes down to the same thing, a breaking of land to reveal water, or a sudden appearance of light or sun. As I took it to God, to hear what He is saying to me about Burstforth, Isaiah 35 came to mind, where the desert breaks forth into an oasis because of the water that suddenly appeared. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,

And streams in the desert. (Is 35:6)

This is very significant, because it speaks of God's inherent character breaking out and being revealed in everyone willing to move with Him. We are called to be a river that refreshes people, especially in the desert. I am confident that Burstforth will become an oasis, where people will see their full potential that God has given them, and from here they will go forth to ignite the same fire in others. It does not just stop at the desert becoming a river, but there is a Holy Highway in the desert, where people will be touched by the Almighty and be made pure! But we have to take up our inheritance, and start producing streams of living water, so that the light in us will become brighter than the darkness around us, illuminating the core!

This is no ordinary way to start a year. The motivation - in the desert you might find your inspiration! Here’s to a 2026 that will beat all others! 😉

**You don’t always need the perfect view—just the right angle.**

Exploring Aosta Valley had me constantly asking: *“What’s another way to see this?”*

Each alley, rooftop, and mountain backdrop held something different when I slowed down, moved my feet, and looked for natural frames, leading lines, and layers.

From a flower-lined balcony to a narrow stone passage, I wasn’t chasing postcard shots—I was hunting for **intention** in the composition.

If you’re ever in a place this beautiful, try looking through instead of just at.

**Your best photo might be hiding just outside the frame.**

Tag a travel buddy who’d be up for this kind of photo adventure!

And save this as a reminder to move slow, shoot with purpose, and stay curious.

Lost in the Clouds, Found in the Ascent ⛰️

Ever hiked straight into the sky? That’s what it felt like on the way up the chain ladders that lead you up to the top of the **Tugela Falls**—Africa’s highest waterfall. The mist rolled in, swallowing the peaks, leaving only the echoes of our footsteps and the sheer power of nature’s scale.

Black and white strips away the distractions, leaving behind only **contrast, texture, and raw adventure.**

Would you take on a trail like this?

Drop a 🏔️ if you would!

✨ **STOP Centering Your Subject!** ✨

Ever wonder why some photos just *feel* better? The secret is the **Rule of Thirds**! 📷 Instead of placing your subject smack in the middle, align them with the **grid’s intersections** for a naturally balanced and more dynamic shot.

👀 Next time you shoot, activate the **gridlines** on your camera or phone and place your subject off-center—your photos will instantly look more professional!

Save this post 📌 & try it out! Do you already use the Rule of Thirds, or are you more of a center-frame shooter? Let me know in the comments! ⬇️

**Where the Sky Meets the Falls 1/3**

The Tugela Falls begins its journey here, cascading nearly a kilometer into the valley below. Watching the sun set from this spot, with clouds rising and the last light painting the horizon, is something words can barely capture - and there for I love being able to capture it with my lens. 🌅

📷 Sunset photography tip: A small aperture (f/8 - f/11) helps keep foreground details sharp while still capturing the glow of the sky! Knowing exposure here helps a lot!

**A Painted Sky 2/3**

Nature doesn’t rush, yet it creates the most breathtaking art. 🎨 The Drakensberg Amphitheatre, wrapped in clouds and bathed in the last light of the day, feels almost unreal.

✨ Pro tip: Shooting into sunset light? Expose for the highlights to keep those colours rich and dramatic.
