I always have a soft spot for Essex people because a) I don't have to modify my accent and b) theyre fun and lovely.

Levi and Liam - you rock 🖤.

(I chose the song for this post because it was what I was listening to when I was waiting for Liam outside Hackney town hall. He told me he loved my music taste and we talked about Johnny Rotten and public image before I confessed what I was listening to but hey it's a vibe).

Like most photographers deep in wedding season, I’m having a small existential crisis about what to post. So here’s something that’ll stick with me for years. Emma & Ryan’s brilliant, chaotic, hilarious bus journey.

Ryan’s family flew in from the US and, somewhere between the ceremony and the reception, we lost half of them. They kept leaping off the bus to nip into pubs for a wee. Thought we’d never see them again but somehow, they all arrived literally one minute after the bus pulled in. Iconic behaviour.

And yes, obviously I had to include a shoe photo. This one’s a bonus because it features the beautiful Soup the dog.

A note for the film nerds: after decades of Ilford, I’ve moved to Kodak TMax for my black & white. Sorry Ilford but bloody hell, thank you Kodak.

And thank you Emma & Ryan. What a day.

Turns out, all you really need to get married in Chelsea is a pub, a dog, and a couple of martinis.
No traditions. No stress. No one posing for the ’gram.

Just real people having a brilliant time - with excellent taste and very solid lighting.

I don’t post much - some moments feel too private to share. But this? This felt sweet and simple enough to let out into the world.

A dad in a suit. A kid in a puffa. Snapping the wedding bus like it’s the coolest thing they’ve ever seen (it was v cool to be fair).

Pretty sure it’s Portra 800. Might’ve been Ultramax. Whatever. Either way, I grinned like a loon when I saw the scan.

Film forever. Kodak always. Story, not scripts.

Happy one year anniversary, Honorine and Joel 🖤.

So much about this day makes me smile. I could tell you about Honorine's dad on the dance floor. Or how we had so much fun in the golf carts we were late to the party. I could tell you how so nervous I was, to be photographing the wedding of a photographer (a great one, at that).

I could tell you I was in room of photographers, and how one sneaked Joel a camera for the car ride to the reception.
I'm pretty sure the image of Honorine alone in the car was taken by him.

But really, what sticks for me most is l've never seen someone so excited to be married. Their first kiss was so long, I was able to photograph it on two different cameras 🔥.

All . All pushed a few stops.

Such a great day, my first time in Leamington Spa and hopefully not the last. Also my first time witnessing the truly spectacular Sophia on vocals (again, hopefully not the last!!).
It may have rained, but do you know why that's lucky? Because when you tie the knot, a wet knot is harder to undo. (Obviously it's a metaphorical knot but you get where I'm going with this).

It's not in your contract to make friends with your photographer, but I really like it when it does happen.
Much love to Stix and Soph, and a happy few hours in Camden last month 🖤

Thank you . I tried to give you Debbie Harry, but we got Drop Dead Fred. As usual 🤣. I may as well accept my fate that I will always, always p**s about on camera.

(I got really strong Mick Rock spending a morning with Syd Barrett, a Pentax and a roll of b/w film circa 1971 vibes from these but I really need to work on my facial expression while jumping off things).
