Three summers.
220 pages.
Over 160 photographs, all shot on film.
11 flower landscapes that only existed for a few weeks each year.
Fallen Flowers has been years in the making. It became so much more than a photography project. it became a collaboration between women, nature, weather, flowers, farmers, artists, and everyone who helped bring these fleeting moments to life.
Every image was created in a real landscape, with real flowers, real people, and real moments. No AI. No studio sets. Just patience, trust, changing seasons, and the unpredictability of shooting entirely on film.
This video shows a glimpse of what went into making the book, alongside the finished result. Behind every photograph were early mornings, muddy boots, changing weather, missed blooms, laughter, vulnerability, and countless memories we’ll carry forever.
We’re now in the final few weeks of pre-orders.
If you’ve been thinking about owning a copy, now is the perfect time. Every pre-order genuinely helps support independent publishing. It means the world to us to see Fallen Flowers finding its way onto people’s coffee tables and into their homes.
Published by Kozu Books.
A beautifully printed 220-page hardcover coffee table book for £55.
Thank you to everyone who has already supported this project. We can’t wait for you to hold it in your hands. 🌸

Why film? 🎞️
Because Fallen Flowers was always about capturing things that are fleeting.
Every landscape was real, changing each year with the weather, bloom timing, and farming conditions. spent Months researching flowering seasons, scouting locations, speaking with farmers, and following where each field would bloom. Many of these landscapes exist for only a few short weeks before disappearing again.
It felt only natural to photograph them on film.
Like flowers, film is fragile, unpredictable, and impossible to perfectly recreate. It embraces imperfection, softness, risk, and chance. As the project evolved, I stopped shooting digitally altogether and trusted film completely.
Every frame mattered. Every exposure mattered. Every successful image felt earned.
In a world of instant imagery, Fallen Flowers became an exercise in slowing down. There was no AI, no instant playback, no endless reshooting—only instinct, weather, collaboration, patience, and light.
In many ways, the project became an act of preservation. Not just of these extraordinary landscapes before they disappeared for another year, but of a way of making photographs that values presence over perfection.

At the heart of Fallen Flowers was trust.
Many of the women we worked with had never posed n**e before. As women creating together, building a space that felt safe, respectful, and empowering was everything to us.
From the very beginning, it was important that this project celebrated the diversity of the female body. We intentionally worked with women of different body types, ages, and experiences because beauty isn’t defined by one shape, size, or standard. We wanted to create images that honour the female form, not to objectify it, but to celebrate its strength, softness, vulnerability, and individuality.
Every woman who stood in front of our camera entrusted us with something deeply personal. For some, this was the first time they had ever photographed themselves n**e. That trust is something we’ll never take for granted.

This shot is from our Wildflowers series.

The oxeye daisy — Leucanthemum vulgare, the bright eye of the British summer.

They flower from late spring through to the end of summer, peaking across June and July, and they’re far tougher than they look. Thriving on roadsides, field edges, old hay meadows and wasteground where more delicate flowers won’t take hold.

This is Britain’s largest native member of the daisy family, the grander cousin of the little one underfoot. What we call a petal is really a single floret, and the golden centre hundreds more: a composite bloom, two kinds of flower joined into one. By evening the pale heads seem to catch the last of the light, which is how it earned its country names moon daisy, moonpenny, midsummer daisy.

Sacred once to Artemis and pulled apart in the old “he loves me, he loves me not,” the oxeye has always carried both innocence and union.

The bluebells chapter of Fallen Flowers, through the words of our model Jess.

“Stepping into this forest felt like walking into a movie scene, into a dream. This vast carpet of bluebells stretching out beneath the trees, their delicate fragrance in the air. The dappled light, the beautiful stillness and quiet. It felt like time slowed down just for us that day.”

Created amongst the bluebells, this shoot became a quiet, dreamlike moment within the wider Fallen Flowers project, where the body, landscape, light and flowers came together as one.

Cow parsley has long been associated with the arrival of spring, blanketing woodland paths and hedgerows in delicate white flowers for just a few fleeting weeks each year. Its brief bloom is a reminder of nature’s quiet beauty and the importance of embracing moments before they disappear.
