I’ve dropped the ball on my little business!

My mum got diagnosed with cancer back in December and it’s been such a rapid decline in her health since we found out. My dad is still working full time so between the two of us we have been juggling and playing tag with the cooking and cleaning, the hospital admissions, never ending tests and A&E trips.
Some days are good days and some days are down days - hoping to pass the hours to see improvement.
All the while trying to keep a cheerful attitude so that I don’t stress my own children out and to keep things as normal as possible for their home life.

It’s been hard.. we are still not completely out the woods as yet so if you have emailed and I haven’t replied I’m so sorry!
Do keep pestering me - I will get back to you!

Hands up! Who’s ready for the festive holidays to begin?

I feel like I had one of the worst possible days of my life yesterday, sounds so dramatic. One thing happened and it all spiralled out of control.

Personal share: my mum is not well and she’s my everything and the strongest woman I know and I know she will get through this.

Here’s to treating everyday like it’s the last.. let’s make it spectacular.

I’ve got you!!

Holding their hands when they are learning to walk, to walking to school until one day they are no longer wanting to hold your hand in public but we are still silently behind them holding them with invisible hands to keep them protected!

I often get asked why I photograph on white.. there are a few reasons.
1. How innocent do the little ones look - so precious and small, its all about the baby
2. Colour can get a bit overwhelming! I love colour in my outdoor sessions as that's nature but with my indoor sessions its all about simplicity.

Don't get me wrong I have always loved colour but even for my setups when I did use it I struggled and felt I needed every prop to make sure I could keep everyone happy.

You can't imagine loving something so much until you have a child.. I have to be the most paranoid mum, possibly from working in a children's hospital and seeing things. Still to this day, I have to leave the room when its a child on TV in pain or sick.. my mum always use to say 'wait until you have your own children' :) how right she was!!

If you have a toddler and looking for something to do.. Monday mornings!

Playgroup is open on Monday, 9.30-11.15. £2 suggested contribution per family.

We will be selling the last few tickets for our Christmas party. £3.50 per child. We only have room for 60 children so please do buy a ticket if you’d like to come.

The Christmas party is on the 5th December and it will be our last playgroup of the year.

What would you say are some must haves first time mums definitely need to pack for the hospital?

I had a c-sec with both of mine and feel like I had packed everything apart from the kitchen sink. Times have changed and some amazing gadgets have come out... any suggestions?

This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed at home, this little piggy had roast beef and this little piggy had none... ;)

Late night feeds - I remember holding on to their sweet little hands and tiny little feet while they fed and just being in awe. 12 years on I am still in awe of my children - how time goes by so fast and I am looking at my eldest now as as a young lady!

Recently, my 8 year old wanted a Rubik's Cube to play with. He managed to shuffle it up and was completely devastated when he couldn't solve it again. I spent 2 full days after watching 'how to' videos on solving it.. I would get half way and it would all fall apart. The other day I managed to solve it in 5 mins... now it's all I want to do. I take it with where ever we go - he loves to shuffle and I love to solve :)
