When emily from Down the Lens contacted me about photographing her play called Sophie on both digital and film, I was very excited.

I photographed an early version of this play in around 2018/2019 and it was wonderful to see the development it has gone through. It was event theatre. The audience were at a party and the story unfolded from there. Who's party? 35th birthday party and there were even iced gems to celebrate.

It was full of 90s and 00s nostalgia (who else really wanted those groovy chick bedsheets?!) and the film photos really added to this feeling.

This garden terrace, planting areas and steps were designed by the architects at In Situ. The design was inspired by the owners mosaic artwork and Iranian heritage.
