TRON Town!

The thing that I love about long exposure and the N8 or any red double-decker bus for that matter is the instant teleportation into the world of Tron!

Lockdown activities like cleaning the garage is slowly moving up the list. As there isn't much one can do in these times, I am getting out all alone a little more. Got out a few days ago to take a walk down Shoreditch. Look for some pockets of stories happening as hardly any life going on in the streets. Looks like a ghost town. Will be get out a little more and it seems like normalcy is a distant reality.

If you have been to Marakesh then you must have fallen in love with the local art and craftsmanship. Life is tough for these local artisan working in very small workshops in difficult conditions. They use the good old techniques which atleast i am not very well versed with. Some of my most enhanced moments have been spent with a bunch of wooden blocks and an IKEA manual. . These guys let me into their life for this moment, started telling me from what I imagine about his craft in his language. Tough as steel these people like my people. Life builds character.

So much was said on banners but is anyone even listening.
People came to this march outside the US Embassy with so much passion. There was so much of emotion flowing that day. Pocket of people crying with strangers consoling. Some 9f the messages were so on point.

A whole life spent and we haven't changed much.
A quick word with this cool cat who was managing the traffic on the adjoining roads of the blm protest in London by barricading it with his chopper cycle. He mentioned that he has spent a lifetime and we aren't too far from where we started. Sad but it is soo true. Atleast in my lifetime I have only seen hate increase. From what I remember society to be more tolerant and loving. Back in my country or here in the western world, the divide keeps on growing. .

It was a tough day for the Black Lives Matter movement following the news on no officer being charged in Breonna Taylor's shooting. We live in a society where the authorities charge an officer for damage to the property of a neighbour but not for the killing of an innocent woman who is black. I can not even contemplate it. All I can say is that change doesn't come easy. It requires herculean push and grit. Hang in there, we are in for long one.
Some more scenes from the soul touching display of love, support and solidarity by the young and old of London.

Not too long we all got together for the Black Loves Matter protest outside the US embassy. I went there not just to support the cause but also in the hope to find myself among people who are amongst other things accepting of each other and our differences. It was by far the most uplifting experience to see so much of love and solidarity for a cause. It made me feel human again. Away from the hate ideology, away from those people who have just become so bitter.
We yelled, we sang, we danced, we walked, we clapped and we conquered. London stood together.

If there is one thing that I wanted to bring by in bulk was Morrocon lamps. Among all the shops with hanging camel leather and argan oil products are also these explosion of lights and shadows. Sometimes we would just stand outside the shops and just stare at it with amazement and i8cking ourselves in not having enough room to fit and good ones. My advise would be to seriously thunk about shipping some home.

Walking down the madina noticing some people having a "cracking" time on wheels, we decide to get a scooter as well. Was a brilliant idea. Took a nippy scooter on rent and got out and that's where we met our first do*****ag.
All holidays comes with its set of do*****ags, at least it has been the case for me. Our first mistake was to ask for the way to the petrol pump. He picked up his scooter or whatever that was and started taking us to what we thought was the pump. What a legend we thought. To our surprise we found ourselves outside a leather treatment plant. Lets be polite and go along with it. Though it wasn't on our must to do list but hey what the hell we thought. The stench was next level but I managed to sneak some shots.
Once we managed to get out of this place we got harassed for a money in the most bizarre way. The lad asked us to gift him some money. Gift being the operative word. Sulu almost got into a fight..typical. Realised that we have to have our guard up all the time.

First walk in the madina and we were catapulted back to a bustling shopping complex in Delhi. It was a bit nostalgic with people yelling at you to get your attention or maybe just generally.
Medina is famous for a lot of things.
The things that struck us the most was the amount of leather products and products made out of argan oil
Sulu found this little corner which had shops selling atleast 100 different products made out of Argan oil. She found some camel leather bags hanging which we could not convince ourselves to buy.
Some other scenes from the madina walk, local artisans and men with donkeys.
I remember this was our first day and we fot comfortable and at home rather quickly.
