Chloe Krog Photography London based family photographer capturing life’s little moments

You can officially stop worrying about your kids ‘behaving’ for photos.

The biggest misconception about family photography is that you need to spend an hour managing your children’s moods so I can get ‘the shot.’

I’m going to let you in on a secret: I don’t want them to behave.

The most beautiful photos don’t come from perfect behaviour; they come from the moments where you forget I’m even there.

Let go of the expectations. Let the kids be wild. Let yourself be seen.

You’re the one who catches the first steps, the messy cake faces, and the sleepy snuggles. You have thousands of photos of them on your phone, but when they look back in twenty years, will they see you?

I’m Chloe, and I’m here to get you out from behind the lens and back into the story. Based in Ballito & Salt Rock, I specialise in honest, unscripted photography that captures you—being seen, being loved, and being present.
Because you deserve to be in the frame, too. ✨

Stop scrolling if you’re tired of “perfect” family portraits. ✋✨

If you want the raw, messy, beautiful truth of your family captured without the stress of a traditional photoshoot—you’re in the right place.

I’m Chloe, and I specialise in the ‘in-between’ moments that usually go unnoticed. Based in Ballito and Salt Rock, I’m currently booking for April and May. Click the link in my bio to see what an “unscripted” session actually looks like.

Moving continents is hard, but moving high-end glass to the Dolphin Coast is a whole different ball game. To keep my ‘babies’ safe from the Ballito humidity, I’ve had to get a little technical with a DIY dry box. It’s not quite their London nursery, but it keeps the lens fungus away!

Just getting back into the swing of things to share this incredible family session…This shoot stands out as one of my favourites from start to end. Shooting in their camper van was definitely a special touch, but the reason this was such a special shoot was because of Becky’s authenticity. She was vulnerable in her intentions for the shoot which lead me to capture with a depth I dream about.

Family photos are often what’s left when you pass a milestone or a season and th memories start to fade. So happy I could mark this season with you

Seeing two of my images featured in is surreal.

After coming back from maternity leave (round 3), I was daunted to pick up my camera again. How would I ever get to a point where I was creating work that I was proud of and inspired me, like all those others featured in this and past issues of the magazine.

So to have this moment as a validation of the work I’m doing is so refreshing! Thank you and team for the many hours put into this exceptional publication 👏👏

A picture perfect (but frosty) morning taking in the beauty of London. Yet another bittersweet shoot as I said goodbye to lovely friends headed out of the country.

Thanks for the special morning

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this family 👏👏👏 Just. So. Good!

This is one of my first shoots where I really pushed into co-creation with the family beforehand (thanks and for the mentorship in your course). The difference in what I was able to deliver was massive.

I can’t wait to continue with the same approach with my next clients in

Adding colour to London's gray winter days 🌸🌼🪻🌹

Before every photoshoot, I send out a questionnaire to get to know the family better. For this fun shoot, mentioned how refreshing her kids' colourful clothing was in the dull season, so we leant into that and went for a colourful splash!

No words can fully express my love for this family. They're my safe haven and a huge part of my life. Thanks for making it all happen, hopefully next time everyone’s favourite Aunty can join in ❤️❤️

Film. Its equal parts exhilarating and frustrating.

With digital, I feel more in control of my creativity. I know what I’m going to get and more importantly, how to get it.

I find the unpredictable nature of film disconcerting. I don’t like not knowing or being in control. But man, there is nothing to beat the race of your heart when you open your scanned images for the first time.

Film photogs, do you ever get to a point where your film skill level and output match or exceed your digital work?
