There’s nothing like a breathtaking sunset to put life into perspective 🌄

This particular sunset was the backdrop for stunning site-specific performance art piece ‘SILT’ by Arbonauts, set in a tidal pool in Southend-on-Sea as part of Estuary Festival🌊

Photography and I have had a rocky relationship.

Doing a degree in it at a young age killed my passion for it, made me compare myself to my classmates and made me feel bad for how much I didn’t know. We broke up for a few years whilst I tried out different jobs and cities and career paths, but having wanted to be an artist since I was tiny, I was bound to come back around to some kind of visual art.

I’ve got my photography business that I’ve built up over 3 years and am proud of, and I enjoy taking photos for my clients… but I’m finally starting to want to take photos for myself again too and I can feel my love for photography coming back.

I feel a change coming on 🖤

The National Portrait Gallery Hold Still exhibition is the gift that keeps on giving. Got to see my portrait of my Grandad (with him) on a big screen at the National Memorial Arboretum yesterday, and his face lit up when he saw it 😍 The other two photos are of a billboard in Crystal Palace and a bus stop in Stoke 😁

I can't quite believe I'm writing this...

Out of 31,000 entries, a photograph I took of my Grandad was chosen by Kate Middleton among other prestigious judges to be one of 100 portraits in the National Portrait Gallery's 'Hold Still' exhibition which launched today! 😱🤩

I'm overjoyed, overwhelmed and so excited. 2020 has probably been the most eventful year of most of our lives, but for me, as well as some horrible lows, I've had monumental highs. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through it all.
