Now available: The Blood Between Us by Robin Yassin-Kassab.

Six decades of Assad rule, dismantled in just eleven days.

The culmination of a revolution years in the making, the regime's collapse marked a liberation not seen for generations. Yet as Syria confronts the legacy of dictatorship, the country's future remains uncertain. Can justice be rebuilt from the rubble or will rival visions and foreign intervention once again pull Syria into conflict?

Drawing on frontline reporting, first-hand testimony and sharp historical insight, The Blood Between Us, by critically acclaimed author Robin Yassin-Kassab, is a timely and deeply human portrait of a nation poised between devastation and possibility.

For readers of political science, Middle Eastern history and international relations.

Available NOW: From acclaimed historian Rahul Markovits, is a story of empire, intrigue and deception at the dawn of the modern age.

Constantinople 1796: Sultan Selim III is struck by the sight of a fellow Muslim travelling in a French cortège. When questioned, the traveller recounts an extraordinary tale. It begins in 1772 with the East India Company's annexation of Broach in Gujarat, and traces the journey of Indian prince Ahmad Khan across Revolutionary France and the Ottoman Empire to London – where he seeks redress, only to be judged not to be the man he claims to be. Returned to Bombay, he is arrested, imprisoned and vanishes without trace.

Drawing on an elusive paper trail, Markovits asks not just why Ahmad Khan travelled, but what made such a journey possible: the political, diplomatic and intellectual frameworks that connected India, Europe and the Ottoman world in an age of upheaval.

For readers of global early modern history, empire and the Revolutionary era.
