Spent sometime watching this grey heron chilling in the reeds at Bushy Park recently. Sad to learn that their average life span is only 5 years. Always think they look a bit prehistoric

Just a grumpy looking Little Owl looking straight at me. Twelve months ago I’d never seen a Little Owl. Fast forward and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph them at multiple locations. The little owl might be the bird equivalent of me :-)
