Celebrating the extraordinary life of Yayoi Kusama.

Her love of nature, bold imagination, colour and endless dots have always been an inspiration for me — and continue to inspire the children I work with to look closely, be curious and see the world differently.

From her flowers and pumpkins to her mesmerising Infinity Rooms, she turned her unique vision into something totally universal.

“I wanted to examine the single dot that was my own life.”

Thank you, Yayoi, for showing us that one small idea can become something infinite.

Wear Your Wonder ✨

What a day! I’m honestly still buzzing from how much fun we had.

Inspired by Elsa Schiaparelli and surrealism, we explored fashion, feelings, nature and making—using recycled and natural materials, and all sorts of creative construction techniques to find the extraordinary in the ordinary.

And my biggest takeaway? Never underestimate a 5-year-old! Their ideas, imagination and sheer enthusiasm were completely infectious.

Days like this remind me why art, creativity and time spent connecting with nature are so important for children’s wellbeing. And honestly… it didn’t feel like work at all. I’m not sure who enjoyed it more—the kids or me! 💛

Already excited for the next Kids’ Art Clubs in October half term. Watch this space! 🌿🎨

Three generations responding to the same strange bit of science: my sister with a new life on the way, my nephews taking it in through the TV, my brother with a beer, and all of us looking up in our own way.

There’s something I love about photography that feels close to art and nature too — noticing how people respond when the ordinary world suddenly becomes extraordinary.

The Picasso Museum was such a lovely surprise.

It was very hot in Paris, and about 20 minutes before we arrived we were mid-meltdown. I was genuinely questioning some of my life choices 😂

And then… we walked into the gallery and everything changed.

It wasn’t too big, the air con was blissful, and the bold colours, paintings and 3D sculptures really held their attention. I gave them sketchbooks and a little challenge: find your favourite Picasso and draw it.

They sat down with their oil pastels and just… settled.

Watching them become completely absorbed in the art was one of those lovely parenting moments that stays with you. It was a little reminder of the power of art to engage, soothe and reset — without us needing to do much at all.

I absolutely loved this museum. A brilliant, manageable introduction to Picasso for children, and a much quieter experience than some of the bigger galleries.

And seeing their favourite pieces through their eyes was the best part.

🌺 What a joyful Frida Kahlo workshop! 🌺

Last week we explored resilience—learning how to bounce back, just as Frida created from her sick bed. Inspired by the plants and animals of Casa Azul, we made vibrant cyanotype Frida portraits, finished with colourful patterns, 3D flowers, and a sprinkle of gold glitter. 💙✨

Thank you to all the wonderful children (and their parents!) for making it such a fun, creative day.

🎀 Next workshop: Wear Your Wonder – 24th August, inspired by Elsa Schiaparelli. Spaces are limited, so book now via the link in my bio!

We spent an afternoon getting lost in the the Sagrada Família, I've ALWAYs wanted to go! And honestly, photos don’t do it justice. 🌿
Antoni Gaudí didn't just build a monument; he translated the natural world into stone and light, making the whole place feel alive. From the helical spiral stairs mimicking seed pods to the tortoise columns and leafy bronze doors, it's a masterclass in organic architecture.
Going up the Nativity tower and seeing that stone stretch upward was something else entirely. Human-made, but deeply rooted in the earth. ✨
