First test shot of a shoot is always b&w for me, high contrast and overexposed. This combo processes a classic Hollywood portrait with bleached skin tone ‘effect’ in camera. The result is “Wow! Is that me?” - a client that immediately has complete confidence in their appearance and my ability. You all know how important it is to eliminate self doubt and boost confidence for both of you. As a photographer I’ve struggled with AI, I’ve iterated and tried and tested endlessly to satisfy how I see my long term partnership with it creatively. I was testing mixed medium colabs with other artists… but the directness and control, and fun of AI this way, simply inside Photoshop…I think I’m happy now, I believe this will be my way of collaborating - not collaborating😅 I mentor serious photographers.

Helping photographers to connect creatively with AI. There is so much noise out there, so I’m just trying to show off simple and actionable solutions for photographers to benefit from. I worked in my dad’s photo lab when the first whispers of digital filled the air. Never! Not good enough! Lessons were learnt, you can’t stop the inevitable. Using AI as part of the toolset is fun and easy. The texture of the fantasy is what was appealing here, rather than the obvious single layer. It feels like I sprayed on the page🤙Is it about staying relevant or is it just not for you? Unfortunately fashion like this is against community guidelines and a hack is necessary when working with a little skin. Original photograph from a few years back.

This image wasn’t an idea, simply a reaction to noticing how perfectly gentle Kate’s hands appeared. Sculpted femininity that triggered calm warmth, admiration, closeness, connection…

Focusing on emotions as fuel for innovation taps into a powerful source of inspiration. Do you use your emotions to enhance your creative work?
