EXCITING NEWS! Our annual exhibition “Home” opens at tomorrow, 1st of June. We’ve also extended our exhibition for a week, and it will be on until next Sunday, so if you can’t make it tomorrow, we will be around for the whole week so please drop by and see some beautiful photos!

ALL WELCOME! No membership needed, come hangout and chat!

PS: we will also be running a social to celebrate the exhibition and the end of the academic year next weekend. More details to follow so keep an eye out!

What is home to you? 🏠
This year’s annual exhibition explores the theme of Home, inviting you to interpret this concept through
photography. The exhibition will be held at on June 1st, from 3pm - 8pm. Detailed itinerary of the day to be announced.

From physical spaces to emotional landscapes, home can take many shapes and forms.

Home is not simply a place, but a relationship: between the material and the imagined; the body and the space; the present and memory. For some, home is rooted. For others, it is carried or longed for across distance. It can be a sanctuary, a site of negotiation, a private archive of memory, or a threshold between who we have been and who we are becoming.

We welcome photo submissions that interpret home in any way that feels true to you. Submissions open now, for photography society members only. Find the link in our bio, on our story, or on the WhatsApp Members groupchat.

Barbican photo walk this Sunday 26th April! 📸

Meet: Bank Tube Station (Exit 3, Wellington Statue), 12.30pm
We are walking from Bank to the Barbican (15-20 minutes), and we’ll spend 1-2 hours photographing the building.

MAG LAUNCH! 🪲 This term’s Wide Angle magazine has the theme “bearing witness.” Come to hear some remarks about the magazine from our team, artist statements from photographers, drinks and nibbles, and grab a physical copy. Happy new year everyone! Our first event of the year is Photosoc’s annual SUNRISE WALK + SOCIAL! 🌅 Meet us at 6:30am on SUN 25th Jan at Chalk Farm station or directly on top of primrose hill at around 7am. After we watch the sunrise we’ll head somewhere nearby to grab some breakfast and warm up over coffee. Don’t miss this Photosoc tradition, it’s always a lovely morning :)
