There're a lot of programs catering for children in summer in London, and this is one of the art installations in front of Serpentine gallery which children can also enjoy. I feel thankful that we have a lot to do without leaving London.

We played tag and chasing and spent half an hour there and he didn't want to leave, despite the fact that he had been playing in the playground for 3 hours, and walked across the Hyde park.

倫敦在暑假有很多為孩子而設的節目，這是其中一個孩子都能參于的藝術裝置。我常常感恩我們不用離開倫敦也有很多親子活動可做。

Day 10

A summer day in London.
A day out with my son in Hyde Park. London haven't rained for over a month. Because of the dryness, the grass was completely dried up and some trees started to shed their leaves.

Thankfully we have rain today.

在倫敦的一個夏日
我和兒子到海德公園玩，因為超過一個月沒下雨，草都枯乾，有些樹提早落葉，有提早入秋的錯覺。

暑假快完了
我也陪小孩過了整個夏天，沒太多機會接觸電腦。因為參加了每天一相的挑戰，每天也盡量拍照。用手機拍了好多，一出去玩也用相機拍了不少。

這幾天倫敦氣溫降了，有點點秋意

Summer vacation is almost over.

I’ve spent the whole summer with my kid, so I haven’t had many chances to use the computer. Since I joined the ‘One Photo a Day’ challenge, I’ve tried my best to take photos every day. I’ve taken lots of pictures with my phone, and whenever we went out to have fun, I also took quite a few with my camera.

The temperature in London has dropped over the past few days, and there’s a little hint of autumn in the air.

My son and I made a summer fair together, and we also built his desk together. Sometimes we play games, and sometimes we tidy up the house. I haven’t been going out as much as I did last summer, mostly because I’ve been trying to avoid the heat. Instead, we’ve been enjoying more time at home and making the most of our summer together.

Day 7

Weekend family trip to St Albans

The town was crowded, and there was plenty to see at the weekend market. We climbed up the Clock Tower with our 4-year-old son—and he made it all the way to the top! We then enjoyed some delicious pastries at a local bakery.

After lunch at an air-conditioned pub, we visited St Albans Cathedral. The interior was absolutely gorgeous, and we spent around two hours exploring it. There are also lots of lovely pubs around the town, and although we didn’t visit Verulamium Park this time, it’s definitely on our list for the next trip.

This is pretty much our usual style of family trip: we take things slowly and choose a maximum of three attractions to visit. With a toddler, that’s more than enough for one day—we’re usually exhausted by the end of it!

This challenge push me to edit my own photos quicker than usual!

Day 6

The Tiger Who Came to Tea

This was my second foster cat, but I ended up sending him to another foster family after just one week.

I was so excited to collect him from Central London after a photoshoot. As soon as he arrived at my home, he didn’t hide at all—obviously, he wasn’t a shy character!

He showed a huge interest in human food and always left some of his cat food behind. Every time I prepared a meal, or even opened a plastic bag, this little tiger would immediately appear on the countertop to investigate. One evening, while I was preparing dinner, he jumped onto the counter and tried to lick the ingredients.

Maybe I looked too kind, because when I tried to push him off, he sometimes swiped at me. It was the first time I had ever felt so stressed living with a cat.

After a week, I realised that we weren’t the right match, so he went to another foster family.

And that was the real story of the tiger who came to tea.

I don’t want to ignore that inner voice challenging myself to step outside my comfort zone.

This was my first time trying a fashionable editorial style, giving me the opportunity to experiment with techniques I don’t usually use in family photoshoots.

My 1-hour package includes 30+ photos, and honestly, I always tend to overdeliver because there are just so many cute images that I can’t leave behind.

But this time, I was only hoping to get 5 successful images. Luckily, I ended up with 10 that I’m happy to share here. ✨

A huge thank you to this gorgeous model for collaborating with me and helping me bring this vision to life. 🤍

An Ordinary Summer Holiday

We spent the afternoon with our friends. The two boys happily played in the playground for two hours while the adults sat in the shade, chatting.
