As well as shooting my own weddings last year, I got together with a few other photographers and worked as a second photographer for them. This shot here is from a wedding photographed with the talented .

I’m forever drawn to soft light, subtle colours and serene spaces. Last year, I was lucky enough to be awarded a couple of artist residencies - which saw me travel off to Latvia to join the ISSP international masterclass (with 70 other amazing & inspiring artists! It was so intense and we were kinda slumming it... child-size, wooden bunk bed with an mdf board for a mattress anyone?!... but it was also so much fun and lovely to be part of such a large community for a while) and then to the charming town of Atina in central Italy for a two-week art residency with . This is rather a long post (!) but I want to give some context to this image, as I share it with you. I took this photograph one morning as I woke up in my apartment. I love the soft emptiness, yet enjoy the subtle hint of a life-lived and the presence of human existence. For me, it’s not always about what’s inside the frame, but what you choose to leave out.. that leads us to the sense of a place, time and experience and leaves just enough space for our imagination to wonder off for a little while x
