I have been very vocal about picking you own traditions, carving your own wedding day to suit you as a couple, and to tell your love story. ✨️ And that's exactly what K & S were inspired to do. On the sunny afternoon of 11th August, K & S said their vows to each other at their family church 💒 K wore the same veil that her mum and grandmother wore, and she got ready in her childhood bedroom.👰‍♀ Everything about this day was intentional, to the smallest detail. Witnessing such pure love gave me goosebumps to say the least - here's to many happy years to this amazing couple 🤍

Nothing beats a Carribean sunrise 🤍 L + J exchanged their vows the Jamaican way: "ya mon"

Their elopement was intentionally intimate, with a live stream to friends and family back in the UK & Japan. A few days later we took to our pleasure to meet up at sunrise (5:30am 💀) to photograph their post-wedding couples session. Both myself and L were adamant that a dip in the sea was mandatory... And the results are something else!

Many years ago (2 months and 1 week precisely), C & J said their vows to each other on the day, when the weather was extremely temperemental. We nearly had to cancel our portraits due to the sheer volume of rain and how the hills would have been a mudslide - I'm all in for an adventure, but even that was excessive and too risky 🤞🏻☺ But miracles happen, and we got there just in time for a soft blue sunset. 🤍

The power of motherhood 🤍
Tell me, what's the one piece of advice you would tell your teenage self?

I'd get to her eye level and say - do not be afraid to be true to yourself. Do not fear others opinions, for they are worthless; and do not stop yourself in fear of failure. It truly is the one thing I learned through motherhood, watching my little one repeat a task a 1,000 times until it's perfected.

This photo - I have had the idea for it for years. I have found many trees, I have taken many clients or models to similar locations, but it was always missing something - and only during this session it dawned on me - it's not the tree that's the focus. It's the clients, standing proud, standing brave, blooming with life, even through all the hardship, just like the tree behind them. After all, I am a storyteller, and you are the heroes in that story.

So, going back to it - what message would you tell your younger self?

Another year around the sun 😇
Expressing gratitude for all the lessons I have learnt, for all of the adventures I have embarked on, for all of the clients, who so kindly accepted me into their lives - from silly voicenotes at 1am discussing life and cats, to coffee meets, to bottomless brunches.

You guys make my world go round, so cheers to another year, filled with adventures, and memories for a lifetime 🥰🥰🥰
