To wrap up this set from last week’s carnival-themed corporate party — a final burst of colour, energy, and atmosphere 🎠✨

I haven't included any of the wonderful portraits and moments captured on the night by my great friend and colleague - Ashley (.better.stories ), but I will put a reel together that includes some of his great work in the mix at a later date.

These last images really highlight the vibrancy of the night: bold details, expressive moments, and guests fully immersed in the experience. From the lighting to the movement on the dance floor, it was the kind of event where every frame felt alive.

This three-part series is a great example of how thoughtful event photography can tell a complete story and leave clients with imagery that continues to work for them long after the night ends.

A few more moments from last week’s carnival-themed corporate party 🎡

Events like this are a great reminder of why I love photographing people in their element — relaxed, engaged, and genuinely enjoying the experience. Working as a small team allowed us to cover the night from multiple angles, capturing both the wider atmosphere and the personal moments that often go unnoticed.

The result is a set of images that doesn’t just show what the event looked like, but what it felt like — something clients can use to reflect their culture, energy, and attention to detail.

These shots highlight some of the great performers at the event that made it sparkle.

Another great event photographed last week — and it really means a lot to be rebooked by the same company. That kind of trust never goes unnoticed.

For this carnival-themed party, I chose to shoot without flash to really lean into the atmosphere and capture the energy and great vibes of the night as they naturally unfolded. There’s a touch of softness in a few frames, but for me that’s a small price to pay for images that feel honest, immersive, and full of life.

I was assisted by my friend, the hugely talented Ashley (.better.stories), who focused on group and individual portraits of guests enjoying themselves and socialising. Together, we delivered a strong mix of candid moments and people-focused shots that sum up the night perfectly and gave the client a well-rounded set of images.

Had a fantastic portrait session yesterday with the charming Carlos . Always a pleasure working with someone who knows what they’re after and brings such a calm, confident energy to the shoot.

We went with a clean setup: soft backlight from an 80cm Godox octobox, paired with flattering front light from a 101cm Pixapro umbrella — simple, effective, and natural.
