Somewhere back in 2014/15 Sarah made an intro between me and this gorgeous guy. Shortly after, I of course found myself shooting and hanging out with the hilarious and hot at his home in Topanga (I think); mostly shirtless (him not me). We recently reconnected and I'm excited to go hang in the desert and get him in front of my lens again soon.

In the meantime if you want to join me I'm going to be checking him out in when it comes out in a few weeks. See you soon Mr Rex. 😉

Back in October 2022 when I was based in my hiding place in the Californian desert I met this brilliant woman with the most incredible story called Joanne. We became fast friends over coffee and 5 hours of chats on that very first day, but it wasn't before I thought she was literally going to shoot me for taking a picture of the dogs on her property as I took my morning walk!

Jo is a fighter. She is currently fighting stage IV breast cancer and has been for the last 8 years; 3 more than expected.

I've heard SO many of her stories; she makes me sound like I have zero to tell (and if you know me you know thats no mean feat). But I have only scratched the surface and I want to spend as much time as I can with her before she is no longer here. This morning I'm finally taking Jo out to Desert Hot Springs as she's at the point in her chemo cycle where she's strong enough to go. We are going to soak our bodies in the healing waters and no doubt talk and talk about ALL the things.

I don't know the first thing about documentary film making or if thats what I'm even doing, but I am doing my best to record Jo and her brutiful (brutal and beautiful ) life, because this badass Great Grandma has touched my heart.

I have so many images and shoots which don’t see the light of day for a variety of reasons. Like this one with and Frankie from way back, when they still lived in LA and I would fly into town from NY for work.

It was part of a personal project that I dreamed up but never bought to life 13 years ago! I am holding on to the notion that things come to be in their perfect time. So with that being said, I think I’m finally ready to begin conceiving and birthing this little one, which has morphed and blossomed in my mind over the last decade of life doing its thing. Here’s hoping I’m ready to be a Mama.

Almost 25 years since my first (and only) visit, last October I found myself returning to Ecuador and a city I fell in love with. I got to explore Quito with my now work husband for our first adventure together courtesy of .

Congratulations (and ) for 4 years of - an amazing hospitality food and drink podcast for industry insiders and hardcore foodies. Thank you both for welcoming me to the team for what has been an amazing ride so far! The best is yet to come with loads more travel and adventuring!
