Life has been feeling like a movie lately

but here’s the truth behind what pictures just can’t portray. The truth behind getting an nyc permanent address.

Nothing in life is easy especially the things that simultaneously challenge and excite you. New York had been a dream, a dream I felt that was always ever so slightly out of reach. A place that can call your name but also be the most unforgiving in times of adversity.

Two years ago I visited at a time in my life where my story felt like it was being shifted to something different, like the life I was living wasn’t going to fulfill my greater purpose. For the first time in a while I felt alive, I felt like all my dreams were possible and they could be achieved here and only here.

But as you can imagine dreams take time and effort and dedication. So for two years I embarked on adventures taking more plane rides that I ever imagined I would. Doing solo trips I always dreams of taking but always feared traveling to because of lack of companionship. But what’s life if all you do is wait for someone to potentially join. So as those adventures took place Texas began to feel like a temporary stop along the way.

Two years is how long it took, and even getting here it wasn’t all fun and games because the rental market is a bloodbath. Only some of my closest friends truly witnessed the emotional turmoil that caused and each and everyone of them was supportive in their own way. So at the two month mark I felt blessed I found a place. Checked practically all my boxes and that’s when I knew it was meant for me.

I journeyed to the state I once called home (after trouble shooting the cancelations fiasco), packed up all my belonging and began my cross country drive with my chonk by my side. If this drive taught me anything it’s that once you’re mind is set anything is possible

So to everyone clinging to a dream they think is unattainable, you’re more capable than you think. And sometimes those closest to you will be your biggest inspiration. Do it absolutely and blindly terrified, I did.

After all what’s life if you don’t make it a great story?

what a dream come true it was to witness where all the magic happened. From the set design, to props galore to the sfx makeup, moments like these I’m reminded of why i chose cinematography for my undergrad studies. It’s an art that stands the test of time (like many other mediums).

it was love at first sight, literal jaw dropping views

If you asked me one year ago, Budapest wouldn’t have made my top ten list of places to visit. However now, I couldn’t recommend it enough. From stepping onto a castle that made me feel like I was transported to Hogwarts to dancing the night away in the most eclectic ruin bars surrounded by strangers from all over the world (some of which I bonded with over a drink or two…) let’s just say you gotta experience this place at least once in your life
