It’s sumner somewhere... Thursday is a reminder of warmer and sunnier days and the many journeys I made to Putney to document this 1901 Gwendolyn Avenue house which had fallen into disrepair after its last residence left in 2011.
With its rich palette of materials, including brick, Stone and distinctive tile hangings, no 8 displays an Arts and Crafts style. I captured the house from the initial strip out through to the completion and my brief was to create a one off book to show the journey over an 18 month renovation period. Tastefully reimagined back to a family home including a full garden redesign and garden studio.
Interesting to look at these photographs in the midst of winter. These warm days will return and with them natures beauty 💚

A nice surprise to start the year! Delighted to share this cover feature out now in February’s edition of Ideal Home. ‘An oriel window seat and pivoting glass doors’ and much much more! It was a pleasure to capture Natalie and Anthony’s light-filled home - full of rich materials, textures and colours - thoughtfully modernised Edwardian home designed by the owner architect Natalie Bene.
