Boudoir By Tigz Rice Empowering bo***ir portraits for fearless leaders and those who dare to dream out loud
(3)

Tigz Rice is a UK based Bo***ir & Personal Branding Photographer, who helps fearless humans re-connect with their bodies & feel empowered, confident & unapologetically present in both their personal and professional adventures. Combining luxury editorial photography with her own signature style of retouching, Tigz has been helping her clients level up their digital visibility since 2009, providing

a portfolio of beautiful images that perfectly portrays their unique personality, style and values. Tigz has always been an outgoing person, but finding the confidence to be her true, authentic self in a world of cultural and media-led body standards has been an incredible journey. After being bullied as a child for being slightly overweight, spending her late teens waging a war against a beautiful athletic body trying to make it fit within a BMI chart, by her mid 20’s she decided enough was enough. Since then, she’s learned to love her body, embracing her killer curves and strong, powerful legs. Now, the only standards she is required to meet are the ones she sets herself. Consistently pushing creative boundaries wherever possible, Tigz focuses on fearless femme strength and loves to challenge the male gaze in both her private and commercial photography. In 2016, she photographed a lingerie campaign for Scantilly that was described by the Huffington Post as ‘one of the world’s most inclusive underwear campaigns’. In 2017 Tigz was voted the world’s leading female burlesque photographer in 21st Century Burlesque’s Burlesque Top 50. And in 2021, Tigz was named as one of Digital Women's Top 40 Digital Women To Watch, making the shortlist for Digital Woman of the Year. Tigz is also an award-winning author, with her book STRIP/TEASE - documenting a decade of work within the burlesque community - winning bronze in the 2020 IPPY Independent Publishing Awards. When she’s not behind the camera, Tigz enjoys travelling the world, learning as many languages as possible and collecting more lingerie than her wardrobe has space for.

Content warning: Mental Health, Burnout

Lydia Coulter on the warning signs of burnout, her brain feeling fuzzy, waking up at two in the morning already drafting an email, and why if you cannot afford to take 15 minutes for lunch you need to pull back sharply.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

In this week's episode, we sit down with Lydia Coulter, marketing consultant and founder of By Kilter and Subtle Bond.

Our conversation explores burnout, over-functioning, and the patterns of over-giving that follow us through life. Lydia shares her journey of leaving her career in global marketing agencies, the root causes of burnout, and learning to measure success by joy rather than productivity.

"Normally I'm not travelling to another country for it. But I truly love your style and expertise and I wanted to have images of myself like the women that I saw on your socials, so I decided to book a trip to London and book a session as a gift to myself. I felt beautiful, confident and very at ease. Thanks to Tigz guiding me through every pose and taking the time to do so. I noticed that I look waaaaay different in these images, than a couple of years ago. You're always developing as a person and I became way more confident during those years. That's what I see when I look at my wall-art. A confident woman who knows her worth and accepts herself for who she is." - Tamara

Why not travel to another country for images that celebrate who you are, gorgeous?

Imagine it now: Fly in Thursday, pamper day with photoshoot Friday, stay in central London for the weekend, fly home Sunday Evening...

It sounds pretty great, right?!

Alycia talks to Tigz Rice about how ableism can be internalised as a disabled person, the brain monkeys telling her she's an imposter, and how the waves crash over and she just has to try and float along.

Every session I create is completely bespoke.

Tailored to your vision, your comfort level, and your story.

From the location to the styling, hair, and makeup - this is YOUR experience.

YOUR celebration.

YOUR moment.

Even if that moment is riding through the fields at sunset on a magnificent horse, like Rhiannon.

What's your dream photoshoot, gorgeous?

The best thing about booking an empowerment photoshoot?

You can opt for lingerie OR layers of tulle.

And because we have time for an outfit change or two... why not both?

If bo***ir isn't your thing, but ballgowns very much are, I'd LOVE to photograph you
