Back to school mini sessions.

Friday was an extra special wedding for several reasons… ❤️

Louise, our beautiful bride, sent us a message yesterday that really made my heart sing. (Okay… I may have felt a little bit like crying! 🥹)

My second photographer was my daughter, Treacle. Working alongside her is always pretty special. I’ve taught her everything I know about photography over the years, so to hear that we were “such an amazing team” with “wonderful energy” was just so lovely.

But the words that really got me were:

“You felt like the perfect addition to our family and friends.”

And honestly, that means more to me than she probably realises.

Because yes, creating beautiful photographs is incredibly important to me, but I also want my couples to feel completely comfortable having me there. Your wedding photographer is with you for such a huge part of your day, after all.

And we certainly felt like we were part of this one!

I had plenty of doggie kisses from Ruby before she got tired and went home for a well-earned nap. 🐶❤️ She came along for the confetti and group shots and was such a good girl.

And Louise is a very talented florist too — she created all the flowers for her own wedding, and they looked absolutely incredible. 🌸

Thank you, Lou and Garth, for having me and my Treacle there to photograph your special day.

To be trusted to capture your memories, and to leave feeling like we were part of your day rather than just two random people with cameras, means everything to us.

One of my favourite parts of corporate headshot days is seeing everything come together.

From an empty space, one light, a reflector and a backdrop, to a whole gallery of consistent, polished headshots.

For this one, getting the background colour exactly right for my client was particularly important. Huge thanks to Click Backdrops for getting the correct colour to me just in time for the first set of headshots!

And then there’s the bit I really enjoy… working in the office environment, meeting everyone, getting people relaxed in front of the camera and, of course, taking a little break for lunch and escaping outside for some fresh air. 😂

There’s something I really enjoy about corporate headshot days.

Everyone arrives saying some version of, “I hate having my photo taken,” and by the time they leave, they’re surprised by how relaxed the experience was.

Shooting tethered to my MacBook means my clients can see the images in real-time, so we can chat about what to tweak and they can choose their favourites there and then.

My goal is not just to create wonderful professional headshots, but to make the process feel easy and comfortable.
A little chat, (I love a chat!) a few laughs, and before long, people forget they’re even in front of the camera.

It’s a privilege to spend the day meeting so many different people and helping them leave with a photo they’re genuinely happy to use.

July recap….

Blimey, July has been crazy busy!

Andy and I celebrated 30 years of being together so we marked the occasion by going to Kanishka by Atul Kochhar for a very decadent lunch.

I went to Wimbledon to watch Andy Lapthorne play the most exciting tennis.
🏙️
I spent a couple of days doing headshots at S&P Global which I love.

I ran Community clean up for Love Uxbridge for the first time, such a great event (follow the page if you want to get involved, we post about dates for this)

We also filmed a football reel and then Nanny and Grandad came over to watch the game with us and brought lovely Otto (thier dog) too, which Kata was most put out by. 😂

I couldn’t make out second clean up of the month as I was in Moorgate at S&P doing the headshots so our girl Treacle helped out and also filmed for me.

I did a few newborn shoots and one four year old little lady took my photo, what a little talent she is!

We filmed a promo for our live music event for Love Uxbridge (I had much fun doing the edit on this)

It was our sons Ayrton Donovan birthday, so the usual celebrations ended up in our favourite restaurant .ruislip

We hosted our Live music event in Uxbridge town centre, what an amazing weekend! Treacle was our musical director, Rory was our sound engineer. Jon Blower was our Dj and we all had a fab time together.

Got to use my Paddington bear props I crafted myself for a cake smash.

Had lunch with my Pop Johnny Moore I hadn’t seen him for a while so it was good to catch up. (Love you Dad 🫶🏻)

Kata still remains the love of my life. He hasn’t bitten my ankles in a while, but he’s been very demanding when I’ve come in from shooting weddings and headshots this month. (And brought me lots of ‘presents’ 😵‍💫)

August is quieter so I’ll be using that time to finish album designs, tackle my huge Wedding edit queue and finish newborn orders.

I think I need a lie down.

Every new baby brings a whole new chapter. 🤍

It’s not just about welcoming a newborn…

It’s about watching your funny little boy become a big brother, seeing your Parents fall in love with another of your babies, watching your family grow and blossom.

I always encourage families to step into a few photographs together during their newborn session. Years from now, these are the images that tell the story of these fleeting moments—all cute and curled up, sleepy cuddles and the people who were there from the very beginning.

Thank you to this wonderful family for asking me capture these precious memories. It was such a joy to meet your beautiful family.

✨ Newborn sessions take place in my cosy Ruislip Manor studio, where there’s plenty of time for cuddles, feeding breaks and creating beautiful memories you’ll treasure forever.

One day this big brother will struggle to remember what it was like to hold his tiny little brother on his lap like this.
I guess that’s why photographs matter, memories.

I photographed big brother when he was this little too, of course he won’t remember that either.
It was so great to see his Mummy again too, she’s just lovely and we had the best chat (I really like chatting!)

The studio is mega busy right now (and it’s our son’s birthday tomorrow) so booking in advance is highly recommended as I’ll struggle to find any last minute spaces right now.

Sometimes I forget that not everyone sees everything I do…

Most people find me for newborn photography—but I also photograph families, cake smashes, headshots, weddings and also content creation.
