Six of my favourite images from last Sunday.
I’m back to doing Bride selfies again!
I’m all about little stolen moments, natural, funny, un posed…. But I still love to do a couple of naturally posed shots too.
😊
Over 20 years of photographing Weddings and I still get anxiety the day before.
Why? That’s the question everyone asks.
🤷🏻♀️
The core of it is, I didn’t want to fail Becca and Rob. I know I won’t but it’s still a fear.
This day is the biggest day of their life, the ceremony is the most momentous thing they will ever experience. And although I’ve done this hundreds of times before, I feel this too.
On the day, I look like I’m laid back, calm and so organised.
I’m organised because I’ve checked my bag 1000 times before leaving the house, I’ve gone back to the studio 100 times to pick up extra bits (brush, mirror, safety pins etc) maybe I have OCD?
But I guess the anxiety means that I still care deeply about their day, I still after all these years want to give them the absolute best of me.
💁🏻♀️
After the anxiety is the excitement of editing their sneak peek and waiting to see their reaction when they see them.
I still have lots to editing to do, including video ( can’t wait to build it!)
But for now, this is why I love these photos, I don’t just love them I LOVE them.
Becca, by the end of the day I felt like I’d known you for ever… friends for life!
Thank you for trusting me with your most special day.
Congratulations to you all.
