Love this photograph made few year ago :)

A collection of porcelain artworks I am showing with Adrian Sassoon Gallery . Despite using only unglazed white porcelain for these works, one can see the variation of tones and textures obtained through the use of light and shadows. The simplicity of a single material allows for the focus the be on the intricacy and detail of the object. Therefore such objects transform depending on where they are shown. A darker setting brings out the depth of the forms and in a lighter setting, the translucency takes centre stage.

Thrilled to have penned a little something for Ceramic Review on our upcoming exhibition Lucie Rie/Hans Coper: Life at the Wheel - opening next month at Offer Waterman

For so many of us pot-fans this magazine is such an important window into the vast and far-reaching world of ceramics - a place of discovery and education, offering a platform both to emerging artists and the many historical makers who paved the way before them.

And don’t get me wrong - I love the ability to read digitally on the go, but I still get such a excited buzz when I see a new copy arrive through my letterbox and land on the doormat with a gentle thud…

If you’re not already a reader or subscriber to this brilliant magazine I really can’t recommend it enough!

Opening later this month, Lucie Rie/Hans Coper: Life at the Wheel celebrates two of the most important artists working in clay of the twentieth century. The exhibition – which opens on 18 September – will feature over 200 works, both for sale and on loan, drawn together from private collections across the UK.

Accompanying the exhibition we are delighted to present a fully illustrated catalogue designed by A Practice for Everyday Life with texts by Tanya Harrod, Nigel Wood, Nigel Slater, Robin Cawdron-Stewart and Edmund de Waal, with a portion of the proceeds of the sale of this catalogue going directly to benefit the recently formed The Lucie Rie and Hans Coper Foundation

We can now reveal the works on display at Homo Faber 2026: by Junko Mori, Joon Yong Kim, Hitomi Hosono and Andrew Wicks, representing four distinctive approaches to ceramics, metalwork and glass.
 
Held at the historic Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Homo Faber is an international exhibition celebrating contemporary craftsmanship, bringing together exceptional makers and artists from around the world. The 2026 edition, under the Artistic Direction of Es Devlin, explores the many ways traditional skills and materials can be reimagined for today.
