It's summer, so it must be time for the 258th Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts.

The theme this year is 'Interconnectedness', exploring the idea of entanglement. The Summer Exhibition runs until 23rd August 2026.

This year's show is curated by Prof Ryan Gander OBE RA, the Summer Exhibition 2026 Co-ordinator.

A remarkable new exhibition opens at Tate Modern this week, celebrating the extraordinary imagination of pioneering artist Julio Le Parc, who sadly passed away on 30th May 2026.

Julio Le Parc: Light. Colour. Action. brings together works from across seven decades of his groundbreaking career, inviting visitors to experience immersive light environments, kinetic sculptures and his distinctive geometric abstractions.

Renowned for transforming the relationship between art and its audience, Le Parc created works that encourage movement, participation and a sense of wonder.

The exhibition opens on 11th June and runs until 3rd May 2027, offering a fitting tribute to an artist whose innovative vision continues to inspire.

A new exhibition opens at the Tate Modern called Julio Le Parc: Light. Colour. Action. It explores the visionary work of Julio Le Parc, who unfortunately passed away on 30th May 2026.

His work lives on in this exhibition, which spans his 70-year career with interactive installations, light sculptures and geometric abstract paintings.

The exhibition opens on 11th June and runs until 3rd May 2027.

The 2026 Serpentine Pavilion was unveiled on 3rd June at the press preview. Designed by Mexico city based architecture studio LANZA atelier it opens to the public on 6th June 2026.

The impressive structure is made out of brick, and its shape was inspired by the architectural feature known as a serpentine or crinkle-crankle wall. They also designed the chairs and stools. Brick was used so that it celebrated the English garden tradition.

This is the 26th pavilion built, showcasing international architecture.
