Defenceless

The last one, solitary pill box has made its way into the drink from the cliff tops consumed by the sea. Interesting perspective from the top on a long exposure capturing the rock formations along the shoreline leading into a vast endless ocean scene. The pillbox stands out now as a foreign object in the sea

The old cliffs of Walton - the weather app told me it would be a mixed bag today but underestimated the strength of wind which nearly forced me off the edge of the cliff. But in the name of science and photographic interest I persisted with my precarious venture to my demise, at least I could relive my army crawling days with a belly shuffle back and forth to save the camera from topping itself.

The latter is a portrait of the war time pillboxes that once stood on top of the cliffs before the sea had other ideas

I went on the 2 mile geowalk at the Naze in Essex walking below and on top of the 50 million year old cliff coastline which is slowly eroding away into the sea. These trees were overlooking their fallen neighbours on the beach below the cliffs, made for a good black & white photo on a bright day they were overlooking the tides approach to consume the shoreline once more
